Chapter 143: Stopping the reunion
"The Sharingan?! That means you're…" He didn't get to finish his sentence, Ryuu put him in a genjutsu and searched for answers himself.
"Nobu."
"Got it." Nobu transferred all the memories he got into Ryuu's mind.
"Hate? Is that it? That's what made him terrorize the other innocent… well… slightly innocent villagers?!"
Ryuu released the genjutsu and held the kid up.
"You're ridiculous."
The kid grit his teeth.
"This village took everything from me! My father was supposed to be up there with the other business owners! He was supposed to be just as rich as they are.
But they quickly forgot about the man who gave them what they had.
That stupid village also forgot who was responsible for them being as relevant as they were. They acted like they were the victims and…" Ryuu threw him to the other side of the room.
"You entitled bastard."
"Hey what's going on?!" Hideshi came with a mace in his hand.
"Your son has been terrorizing the other villagers."
"What?! He wouldn't."
"He has." Ryuu coldly replied.
"Sadao, tell me he's wrong."
"I hate it here, dad! I hate the villagers, and I hate the Kenhikari clan, and I hate all the other businesses!"
Hideshi's eyes widened.
"Sadao..."
"Enough! Will you come quietly, or should I forcefully take you?"
He grit his teeth and then looked away.
"I'll… go on my own…"
"Good choice, now slowly get up with your hands behind your head."
"Yeah." He slowly put his hands behind his head and got up.
Ryuu was cautious with him, but he wasn't afraid of him. He kept close to him in case he tried something.
Ryuu removed the cuffs, he placed one of them on one hand, and as he was getting to the other.
Hideo clenched his fist and swung it towards Ryuu.
With no effort at all, Ryuu caught his fist and glared at him.
Hideo went for a headbutt and Ryuu slightly moved to the right and put his foot in front of him, causing him to trip and fall in front of his father's feet.
"One chance, that's all you have now. I'm running out of patience for this kind of behavior, you know."
"Screw you!" He made a one-handed seal and multiple fuma shurikens headed towards Ryuu.
Ryuu dodged the shurikens by jumping in between them.
Cling! The shurikens started heading back towards Ryuu with paper bombs revealed.
'He's willing to kill himself and his entire family.'
Ryuu threw three shurikens, which deflected each other and cut the strings, plus his finger off.
Ryuu activated a seal on his hand and placed his hand on top of the paper bombs.
Boom!
The paper bombs exploded, leaving a minor explosion, but the explosion broke the floor and the door.
"Stop! Leave him alone! He's done nothing!" Hideshi yelled as he also prepared to fight, holding his mace tightly.
"Don't try it please, I'm not here to hurt anyone. I just want your son to stop assaulting the villagers."
"He won't do it again. I promise."
"I don't want your promises." Ryuu looked at the wounded Hideo.
"I… also promise to never hurt the villagers again." Hideo was rubbing his head, and he looked away as he said this.
"Hmph, you're lucky I'm on a tight schedule, I'll leave for now but if I ever hear that, you're attacking and assaulting the villagers again, I'll kill you in an instant."
"Thank you." Hideshi bowed down to Ryuu's feet and thanked him.
'Pitiable.' Ryuu thought to himself, and then he flickered away.
"What now?" Kakashi asked.
"We wait, they should arrive soon, but first I want to see something.
Nobu, you're up."
"Right." Nobu emerged from Ryuu's body, releasing a small portion of Phoenix Flame.
He changed himself into a snake and slithered inside their house, from there, he could spy on them.
"Do you have any idea what could've happened if you killed someone?!" Hideshi shouted.
"I said I'm sorry, didn't I? Stop bugging me, dad."
"Stop bugging you? Did I raise a fool?!"
"No, you raised a kid who had to stop attending the academy after 3 years only, because his old man couldn't pay the fees, you're pathetic!" Hideshi frowned.
"Hideo! How could you say something like that about your father?! You know he does everything for this family."
"And it's still not enough!" Hideshi slapped him.
"I guess it isn't."
Hideo got scolded and punished for the next 1 hour, Ryuu told Kakashi what was happening after every 20 minutes.
"What are we waiting for again?"
"Hold on, they're almost here, just keep quiet and stay vigilant."
"Sigh…" Kakashi sighed and kept waiting.
Hideshi went to Hideo's room.
"Hey, follow me, I have something important to show you."
"I don't want to."
"Just do it and trust me."
Hideo stood up from the bed and followed Hideshi out of the house.
"Where are they going?"
"I have no idea, but I guess it has something to do with the people I've been sensing." Kakashi nodded.
"Let's follow them. Keep an eye out for traps, though."
"Of course."
Hideo and Hideshi traveled through the Forest for another 30 minutes, the path they took was hard to navigate, it was foggy and at some point; they stopped running and Hideshi started searching for something inside a tree; it was a key.
"Dad, where are we going, anyway?"
"Just shut up and follow me. It's to do with the Kurosu gang."
Hideo's eyes widened.
"Are you sure we aren't being followed?"
"The forest we're on isn't so easy to navigate, even if those Anbu were to follow us, they'd get lost by the time we got here." Hideo looked behind anyway.
"Well, if you say so."
Hideshi used the key to draw two swords crossing each other and a diamond on top.
The ground started shaking; it revealed a hidden entrance to a base made of stones and the Kurosu symbol at the top.
Almost immediately afterward, two hooded men entered and appeared beside Hideshi.
"Father, who are they?"
"On the right, this is Hirotsugu, my right-hand man, no pun intended, he's our muscle, he has a jutsu that makes him untouchable, he's too hard to hit." The hooded figure revealed himself, he had a mohawk and the Kurosu symbol tatted on his face.
He looked built, really strong, and he was tall too.
"On the left side is Sanjuro. He's our strategist, he can come up with a plan to break through any defense, he's the one who made the plan to break through the Kenhikari's defenses, a genuine genius he is."
He removed his cloak and hood; he had two scars on his face, one cut stretching from near the right side of his nose to the other side of his face and one scar from his forehead to his left eyebrow.
He had short black hair and a tattoo of the Kurosu symbol on his right shoulder.
"I'm guessing Kazumi was forced into speaking about our secrets, that's why she isn't here too. There's no point in hoping Himiko to come, but we don't need the snake, we have my genius son.
You told me you've already gathered information on the other businesses, right?"
"Yeah, but… what do you need it for?"
"I'm bringing the Kurosu gang back together. This time, we'll do this with my son, so there's no way we'll fail or get betrayed, this is a real family."
They entered the base.
Nobu lit up in flames and ash rose with some marks on the floor.
"Well, this is touching and all that, but now it's time we get rid of this gang once and for all," Ryuu said as he unsealed a Katana.
"Remind me to get new gear, this Katana is too old, you know."
"Whatever, as long as it works, right?"
Ryuu nodded.
Ryuu and Kakashi activated their Sharingan's.
They flickered to the outside of the base and hid behind the pillars.
Ryuu threw a dark kunai inside and made it turn into smoke.
"Look out!"
Boom!
An explosion happened from the other side of the room.
Ryuu grits his teeth and went to check it out with Kakashi.
"Earth style: Mud Spore!" Ryuu looked to the side and saw a river of mud heading towards him.
"Earth-style: mud wall!" Kakashi and Ryuu made a giant wall that blocked the mudslide heading toward them.
"Earth-style: armor!" Hirotsugu coated himself in earth chakra and made armor that's invisible, for people without the Sharingan that is...
"I got him!" Kakashi went to fight him.
"Water style: whirlpool vortex jutsu!"
Using the water from the mudslide, Sanjuro made a giant whirlpool that pulled everything around.
Ryuu jumped back.
Chakra formed in his hands, leaving the sound of 1000 birds echoing through the woods.
Ryuu teleported above the vortex using Kamui.
"Chidori stream!"
Ryuu focused enough chakra in that jutsu to get all of them.
"Ah!" multiple people screamed after getting hit by the jutsu.
They all got electrocuted by his jutsu and fell...
The vortex also dissipated.
"I can't believe these guys mastered such Jutsus, they'd be above Jonin's if they became ninjas, you know."
"Yeah, but let's just get going, now that the mission is over."
"Wait a second, Kakashi."
"What? We took out the enemy's, right?"
"Yeah, but I need to do something first."
"Sigh… well alright, but just keep it short, I told Mina ill pick her up for your party. Which, in case you forgot, is already going on."
Ryuu dropped his head depressingly.
"You're right, I'm so screwed, aren't I? Ichika will probably kill me for not picking her up, you know."
Kakashi facepalmed.
"We don't have time for this! Just get over it already!"
Ryuu quickly got up.
"Let's just go already," Kakashi said.
"Alright, alright, I'll make it fast."
