Chapter 89: Shisui’s secret.
A few months after that peace treaty, Ryuu had come back from a mission, he was saving a platoon of Shinobi after they were ambushed, and on his way out of the Hokage's office; he saw Shisui, he hadn't seen him for a while so he wanted to train with him today, plus Shisui was hiding something from Ryuu and this was his way of confrontation.
"Come with me Shisui." He nodded and followed Ryuu.
They went to training ground three, but no one was there yet.
"Shisui, you shouldn't hide it from me."
Shisui tilted his head in confusion.
'Does sensei know?'
"There's no need to hide it from me, I'm your sensei and you shouldn't be hiding things like this from me, you know."
Shisui gulped.
"No, even more, I think of you like a little brother, you know."
Ryuu looked him in the eye.
"You have them, don't you?"
Shisui was trembling and sweating.
'I've never seen him so serious, I have to tell him.'
"You have the Mangekyou Sharingan."
These words took Shisui by surprise.
"How did you know?" Ryuu smiled.
"I didn't, but now I do," Ryuu replied with a sly smile on his face.
"How could I fall for such a basic and dirty trick?" Ryuu smiled.
"Well, I'm only kidding, I've known about your Mangekyou for a while, I also know how you got it." Shisui's eyes widened, then he frowned.
"You shouldn't hold it against yourself, we all have our moments of weakness and we all have our moments of jealousy and envy."
Shisui frowned as he remembered how he let his friend die on a mission.
"But the important thing is don't let a mistake like that define you, and with that being said, show me." He nodded.
Shisui's eyes spun around and formed a four-pointed wheel.
"I haven't had the chance to use it and I don't know what the ability is."
Ryuu nodded.
"Don't use it yet, it's the most powerful genjutsu called Kotoamatsukami, it can control people's minds without their knowledge and make it seem as if they were the ones who did it with their own free will."
Shisui's eyes widened.
"The only problem is the cooldown, someone can only perform once every ten years. Well, that's for those who aren't the original users, I'm not sure about you."
"How do you know all this?" He asked.
Ryuu activated his Mangekyou Sharingan.
"Woah, you have them too?"
Ryuu nodded.
"I have many Mangekyou abilities, one of them being able to copy all jutsu, including Kekkei Genkai and hidden ninjutsu from different clans."
Ryuu scanned his eyes and copied it.
He wiped the blood off his eyes.
"That's amazing, how many Jutsu's have you copied?" Ryuu placed his finger on his chin and thought about it.
"Well, it'll be easier if I just show you, right?" He nodded.
Ryuu spent ten minutes showing off his power, every time he did it Shisui would be amazed and speechless but after that, he got serious and began training.
"Alright Shisui, let's train, show me how much you've been practicing the teleportation jutsu." He nodded.
The two of them got into their stance and stared at each other.
"You should know, this time I won't go so easy on you cause I know just how powerful you are." Shisui nodded.
Shisui charged at Ryuu, using the body flicker jutsu and feinting many times.
'He's so much faster than before.' Ryuu said as he dodged Shisui's blade. He swung his fist at Shisui but was too slow and Shisui took his opportunity and delivered a kick.
Ryuu dodged it but had to move back.
"You're so much faster, I'm impressed."
Shisui turned into crows and appeared above Ryuu.
"Genjutsu!" Ryuu blocked his head.
"Wind blade!" Shisui shot out blades of wind behind Ryuu.
Just before they hit Ryuu, he teleported behind Shisui.
'I can't treat him like a kid from the academy anymore.'
Shisui saw the determined look in Ryuu's eyes.
"You said you'd go easy." Shisui frowned as he saw Ryuu's eyes.
"Well, this is easy, you should be proud you've pushed me this far.
After all, you're a genin now." He nodded and attempted to put Ryuu in a genjutsu.
"Not this time." Ryuu reversed the Genjutsu.
'Even at this age, Shisui fights with the skill of a Jonin.' Ryuu said to himself as he ducked Shisui's kick, he had easily dispelled Ryuu's genjutsu and Ryuu didn't make it difficult.
Ryuu countered and landed a punch.
"Water dragon jutsu!" Shisui shot a dragon at Ryuu.
"Fireball jutsu!" Ryuu replied by shooting a fireball at him.
"Boom!" The two jutsu clashed and left a thick amount of steam around.
"I see, so that's what you want."
Ryuu noticed Shisui's plan to distract him by creating a large amount of steam.
Shisui threw shurikens at Ryuu, but Ryuu dodged them.
"Wind style violent whirlwind!"
Ryuu blew away the steam, and his eyes widened as he saw multiple clones moving around him.
"No, not clones, after images." Ryuu recognized this as Shisui's afterimage clones.
Ryuu activated his normal Sharingan.
Shisui struck him from behind, but Ryuu blocked.
"I have to say, I'm impressed, but I'm going to finish this fight here."
"Chidori!" Ryuu aimed his Chidori at the water that Shisui was standing above.
His Afterimage clones stopped moving, and he got stunned.
"You sure know how to hold back."
Kakashi said.
'He has been watching us for a while and I didn't mind.'
"I held back," Ryuu said as he helped Shisui get up.
"Here." Ryuu healed him using Phoenix Flame.
"Thanks, sensei." Ryuu nodded.
"It's perfect that you're here too, Kakashi.
I want to give you both something."
Kakashi dropped from the branch.
"What is it?" He asked.
Ryuu activated Phoenix Flame on his hand, he manipulated it to become dark ash.
"You're both going to feel a little pain."
They nodded.
He placed his seal on them.
"What is this?" Shisui asked.
"These are my special seals, they increase my sensory abilities and constantly communicate with me. When you're in trouble, I can teleport back to you and they defend you when I'm not there."
They nodded.
"While we're here, you want to put on a show for Shisui?" Kakashi accepted Ryuu's challenge.
"Shisui, stay back, this could get bad."
He nodded and moved away.
Ryuu and Kakashi did the unison sign and stepped back.
"I've been dying to try this new jutsu."
"Don't be sure that you'll get the chance."
Ryuu nodded.
"Then let's fight and see." Kakashi nodded.
"Fireball jutsu!" They both shot large Fireballs at each other which collided in the middle and the water was evaporating.
"Chidori!" Kakashi's Chidori hit the water and caused electrical currents to form from the water that had splashed in the air.
Ryuu teleported away before they could hit
"Wind style compression bomb!" Kakashi shot out a large compressed bomb.
Ryuu weaved hand signs.
"Here goes."
"Earth-style Tojinbo!"
The ground shook and giant earth columns formed like spikes, making a maze around them.
"Woah." Shisui stared at the fight in awe.
"I have to use my Sharingan to keep up with them." He said as he watched.
Ryuu used clone jutsu and was running around confusing Kakashi.
He memorized the area and was ready to strike.
"Boom!" Kakashi crushed the rocks on his way and jumped out of the maze.
He had entered lightning chakra mode.
"Shit."
Ryuu also entered lightning chakra mode.
'I didn't even see any of them, even with my Sharingan.' Shisui stated as he watched.
"Dynamic entry!" Ryuu mixed his kick with lightning chakra mode, but Kakashi caught his leg and threw him.
They exchanged blows constantly with each blow, making gusts of wind from their strength and power.
'They look like a bolt of lightning, I can't even follow their movements, I doubt I'd catch up to them with my teleportation jutsu even after Mastering it."
Shisui stated as he watched.
Ryuu was on the offense because Kakashi was running out of chakra and that made his lightning chakra mode weaker.
"Wind style great breakthrough!"
Ryuu breathed out a powerful gust of wind. Ryuu's wind style sent Kakashi back and his lightning chakra cloak was fading.
"This is my chance!" Ryuu teleported behind Kakashi and swung his fist at him.
"Argh!" Kakashi turned into lightning.
"Chidori!" Kakashi came from the ground with lightning in his hand.
He struck Ryuu, but Ryuu turned into water.
"Water clone?" Kakashi realized too late as Ryuu's Kunai was on his throat.
"I yield." Ryuu smiled and helped Kakashi up. He healed him and himself with Phoenix Flame.
"Wow, that was amazing sensei! You both were." Shisui said.
"You think so?" He nodded.
"Kakashi, I have a suggestion for you."
He nodded.
"When we come back from lunch, I want to show you another lightning jutsu to use instead of using Chidori, it's a higher concentration of lightning release but it's difficult to master." He nodded.
They left for Ichiraku Ramen.
"There you guys are!" Obito, Rin, and Ichika were there as well.
"You've been looking for us?" He nodded.
"Hey wait for a second, isn't that kid Shisui Uchiha?" Ryuu nodded.
"He's my student."
Ryuu replied.
"You're in safe hands with Ryuu, he turned me into what I am today," Obito said.
"Well, it appears you're not just a good shinobi but a good sensei too, from what I've seen Obito do, maybe I could become your student," Ichika added, Ryuu shyly smiled and scratched his head.
"Anyway, would you like to join us for some Ramen?" They nodded.
Ryuu and his friends had Ramen and enjoyed a pleasant lunch.
"Ryuu, come with me." Ryuu turned around to see a face he hadn't seen in a while.
"Jiraiya-sensei? What are you doing here?"
"Come with me, we have a mission and you better tell your friends goodbye because you and I will be gone for a while, also prepare for a long journey." Ryuu nodded.
"Well, I guess I'll see you all some other time, don't stop training, especially you Shisui, you have so much potential I won't be around for you but when I come back, I promise to give you two new Jutsu's."
He nodded.
"Wait a minute, he's the one Sarutobi-sensei was talking about?"
Ryuu nodded.
"Looks like you're becoming famous, Shisui."
"Say, Jiraiya-sensei, what's the mission about?" Ryuu asked.
"We're going on a scouting mission to Sunagakure for two years."
Ryuu's eyes widened.
"Two years?!" He nodded.
"I have a request, I don't want to hinder Shisui's progress, so can we take him with us? He'll learn a lot when we're there to show him." Jiraiya nodded.
Ryuu looked back at Shisui.
"Well, would you like to join us? You'll learn a lot from both of us, plus it gives me a chance to teach you more jutsu." Shisui nodded.
"I'll always want to learn from you, especially after seeing you fight today."
Ryuu smiled.
"In that case, let's prepare, we leave at midnight."
After preparing, they left for Sunagakure using Ryuu's teleportation.
