Chapter 134: Saving my friend
Ryuu's clone came back holding a small infant wrapped in a white blanket.
He had light blonde spiky short hair.
He had three whiskers on each side of his face and blue eyes.
Ryuu's clone fed him using a bottle of milk.
"He was awake when I found him."
The clone said as he handed him to Ryuu.
"You look just like them." Ryuu smiled as he thought of Minato and Kushina.
"Don't you worry, Naruto, as long as I live, I will take care of you, you have my word, from one Uzumaki to another."
Ryuu carried Naruto.
"Awww, he's so cute," Ichika said as she looked at Naruto.
"Yes, this is Naruto Uzumaki, big sis Kushina's son."
"Wait, that means..." Ryuu nodded.
"His son too, I'm trying to make it a secret because if people knew who his father was, they'd probably attack him since he had many enemies."
Ichika nodded.
"Yo." Kakashi appeared in front of Ryuu and Ichika.
"Is that sensei's son?" Ryuu nodded.
"His name is Naruto, Naruto Uzumaki."
Kakashi picked him up.
"He looks just like them."
Ryuu nodded and took him back.
"Kakashi, where's Itachi and Shisui?"
Kakashi shrugged.
"Last time that I checked, they were getting ready to move out." Ryuu frowned.
"Thanks for the help, without you I wouldn't have gotten Naruto, you know."
Kakashi smiled and nodded.
They walked back home together.
"I'm going to have to find a new place to stay now that I have to raise Naruto.
I wouldn't want to disturb you and dad, you know."
"Oh, and by the way, I heard dad will become the next Hokage, is that true?"
Ryuu nodded.
"That's right, lord third stepped down for good."
"I see…"
Once Ryuu teleported them home, Ryuu put Naruto to sleep.
"Kakashi, I need to take care of something, I'll be back."
"Me too, Mina almost got hit by the nine tails, she refused to move out, maybe I can convince her," Kakashi responded.
"Well, I'll get back to the hospital, aunt Tsunade needs me there for the rest of the night."
"Good luck," Ryuu waved them off before teleporting into his dimension.
Nobu was there too, he walked around and then laid down near Ryuu, and Ryuu laid down on his stomach.
Nobu closed his eyes, and so did Ryuu.
"Are you here to save him?" Nobu exposed Obito, who was buried under ash.
"I want to think about what I'm going to do next, you know."
Nobu kept quiet, and let Ryuu think in silence.
Ryuu spent 2 hours thinking about his next move. Well… that's what he said, truthfully he just wanted to sleep a little.
Ryuu wondered what Minato and Kushina would think if they saw how he handled the Danzo situation.
Kushina would laugh, she'd think Ryuu handled it perfectly, and so would Minato but not to the extent of laughing.
He imagined them standing beside him, trying to help him.
"I wish you were both here."
Ryuu imagined himself standing beside Minato and Kushina.
Ryuu frowned, he had no solution to bring them back. Some words would echo in his head while he thought.
"Nothing in this accursed world ever goes as planned." Ryuu opened his eyes with his Sharingan on.
"Was he… right?"
Ryuu stood up and controlled his ash to bring Obito, who was still held in chains and was gagged with thick ash.
Nobu opened an eyelid to see what Ryuu was doing.
"What do you plan on doing now?"
Nobu asked.
"Minato told me to bring my friend back, he said if there's anyone who could bring Obito back, it would be me."
Ryuu made a tool kit.
"Shadow clone jutsu!" Ryuu made 3 clones.
He removed the ash and made it into smoke.
"What are you doing to me?!" He asked as he tried breaking the ash.
"Saving my friend," Ryuu responded.
He controlled his ash and knocked him out.
Sigh.
'I wanted to leave the village, I really did.
Would you join me even if the path I would've taken lies in the same darkness I've saved you from?'
Ryuu questioned himself.
Ryuu removed a scroll and put it on Obito's chest.
"Seal removal technique!"
Ryuu put his hand on Obito's chest, pulled the seal, and then he placed it on the scroll.
Obito regained consciousness but was still held back by Ryuu's ash.
"Hey, you ok?" Ryuu asked Obito who was still feeling nauseous, Obito slowly opened his eyes and looked at Ryuu.
"Ryuu? What happened?"
"Don't you remember anything?"
Obito shook his head.
"Ryuu, why am I tied up here? Is Rin alright?"
'He remembers Rin… but…'
"Obito, what's the last thing you remember?"
Obito took some time to respond.
"It was… when- "Obito's eyes widened.
"Madara! We have to stop him!"
Ryuu frowned.
"Was that really the last thing you remember?" Obito nodded.
Ryuu glanced at Nobu, who was still asleep.
"Don't expect me to do anything, I'm not Kurama, I can't sense evil, I can only kill it." Nobu nonchalantly said.
"Thanks a lot." Ryuu sarcastically replied.
Ryuu walked over to Obito and sat down.
"Look into my eyes!" Ryuu put Obito in a genjutsu.
"Obito, this is what happened since that day." Ryuu walked Obito through everything since that night that Rin was attacked.
Nobu snorted as he saw tears from Obito's eyes.
"This human culture is strange, they cry over everything, I've never even shed a tear unless they're tears of joy after killing a worthy enemy."
Nobu closed his eyes again after commenting on humans.
After an hour, Ryuu had finished bringing Obito's memories back.
By the time Ryuu was done, Obito was soaked in tears.
All the guilt from almost killing Yahiko and enslaving the Mizukage, but worst of all…
"I killed Minato-sensei and Kushina-sensei," Obito murmured to himself.
"This is all my fault!"
Ryuu freed Obito and held his hand out.
"This was never your fault, it's all his fault, Madara Uchiha, he's the one we should be pissed at, not ourselves."
Obito took Ryuu's hand and got pulled up.
"Obito?"
Obito looked at Ryuu.
"It's good to have you back."
Obito smiled.
"It's good to be back, Ryuu."
Ryuu also smiled at seeing his friend again.
"I'll need to shave this hair off though, it's not my style. I don't think Rin will like it either.
Oh! I have something to ask."
Ryuu looked at Obito.
"Why is there a giant bird in here?"
"Right… this is Nobu, he's my Phoenix."
"Your… Phoenix?"
"It's a long story. A lot has happened since we last spoke, you know."
Nobu ignored Obito, calling him a giant bird, and he continued sleeping.
Suddenly, Obito's excited mood dropped, and he had a gloomy expression.
"Ryuu, do you think… Rin and Kakashi have forgotten about me?"
"Come on, what makes you say that?"
"It's just… it's been a while, and it's not like they would care if I came back today.
I mean… Minato-sensei died, and Kushina-sensei too. I just… I don't think it's time to go back."
"Obito, Rin has been waiting for you ever since that day in Kirigakure, don't you remember? And Kakashi has never forgotten about you.
He would never forget, he beats himself up every day since that day you and I were taken; you helped him more than you think; you know.
Don't be afraid, come with me, let's go see our friends.
I missed you a lot too, you know."
Ryuu said with a smile and a wink.
He held his hand out with a fist.
"You're right, I don't know what I was thinking." Obito returned the fist bump with a smile, and then they teleported to Sakumo's house.
"Woah, it's already dark? I didn't realize I was gone for that long, lucky us, they should all be free right now." Ryuu said before teleporting again.
Ryuu teleported to Rin.
"Hey, you got a sec?"
Rin was having tea with Ichika.
"Oh, hey Ryuu, How's it going?" Ichika asked.
"I need you both with me right now, is that alright?" They looked at each other and then nodded.
Ryuu teleported to Sakumo's house with them.
"Ryuu, why have you brought us here? The hospital is really busy. They need me."
"Hold on."
Ryuu teleported to Kakashi.
Kakashi was taking a walk with Mina.
"What's up, Kakashi."
"Oh, hey Ryuu, you need me?"
"Hey, I haven't introduced myself properly.
I'm Ryuu Uchiha, I'm Kakashi's brother, you know." Ryuu offered a fist bump to her.
"So you're Ryuu? I've heard so much about you."
"I've also heard about you through Kakashi."
"Oh really? Kakashi talks about me?" Mina started blushing at the thought of Kakashi talking about her.
Kakashi sighed and asked.
"You need something?"
"It's about Obito."
"Obito? What about him?"
"Let's go, you'll see it for yourself." Kakashi nodded.
"See you later Mina."
"It was nice to meet you." Ryuu waved at Mina before teleporting with Kakashi.
