Chapter 107: Ryuu's Plan And Madara’s Delusions Of Grandeur
Ryuu quickly stood up.
"Ah!" He felt a jolt of pain in his legs.
"I see, I still have to get used to my body again, but maybe I should try using my Mangekyou this time and see what happens." Ryuu opened a portal.
His eyes didn't bleed.
"I don't even feel anything, and what about my wood release?" He made a hand sign.
"Wood style: wood clone jutsu!"
Multiple clones came from Ryuu's body.
"They're just like my Shadow clones, so many of them!"
Ryuu made his clones disappear into the ground.
"There's still one more thing I have to check, this one is more important…"
Ryuu held his hand out.
He concentrated all his will on his hand.
Sparks appeared as the room got warmer…
Ryuu closed his eyes.
"Grrr…"
A chilling growl could be heard from Ryuu's body.
He opened his eyes and his eyes changed; he had slitted eyes with red and yellow Phoenix Flame around those eyes.
Whoosh!
A ball of red and yellow Phoenix Flame appeared on his hand.
He attempted to control it and shaped it to resemble spikes with liquid dripping.
"I did it." Ryuu entered Phoenix Flame on half his body.
'From my understanding of how this is possible is that back when my cells were healthy and before that boulder fell on me.
I used to heal the damage by my flames faster than the flames would destroy but then after my legs got amputated by the boulder and the debris and adding the fact that I was going through an evolution with my flames, I couldn't use them anymore because they were doing more harm than good.'
"Don't move a lot." Ryuu injected Obito with Hashirama cells.
He opened his Sharingan and watched his body.
'Being half a White Zetsu Obito's body responds differently to my version of lord First's cells, if my theory and calculations are correct, this version could sever the ties between him and Madara and the Zetsu's.
However, he still has a seal, I have one too, that's why Madara almost convinced me to join in on his delusions of grandeur.'
Ryuu finished inserting the Hashirama cells into Obito.
"How do you feel?"
Obito clenched his fist and moved his legs.
"You've increased the speed of my recovery, but I still have some problems."
Ryuu nodded.
"Of course you do, half your body was destroyed, you know.
We just have to train our bodies and get used to this."
Obito nodded energetically.
"Right!"
Four months passed…
Ryuu and Obito were tired of living in the cave.
"How long have we been here? It feels like it's been a while." Obito stated.
"Don't worry, you don't need to pay rent."
White Zetsu said.
"Those of us created from the Gedo statue Don't have to eat, either…
No food bills, no need for the bathroom, we don't even poo!"
Guruguru added.
He was a White Zetsu clone with a swirly face Obito nicknamed him Guruguru.
"Don't lump us in with you guys both Obito and I have half of better Hashirama cells stuck onto us."
"And thanks to it, you can survive without eating or drinking.
You should be grateful and thank us." White Zetsu said.
"Yeah, we're the ones who don't want to be lumped with you two, what you have is emotionless synth-tissue.
We're fully artificial humans, we have feelings and everything!
Though we don't poo.
You may have a better sense of humor, but what we got is much better!
Both our vocabulary skills and mental acuity are far greater than yours!
Well… not Ryuu's."
"How can I sleep when these two are here?" Ryuu murmured.
Obito chuckled.
"I have to say, out of everything Madara has done, I'm mostly impressed that he can sleep when you two puppets are talking all the time," Ryuu stated.
Obito nodded in agreement.
"I swear we're gonna get out of here and go back to Rin and Kakashi!"
Obito said.
"Nope, not possible. There's no exit.
Madara sealed it off with an enormous boulder. After we lugged you here on his orders."
Ryuu facepalmed.
"You two realize I could always teleport in and out of here as I please, right?"
"Whatever… Obito you keep saying Rin-Rin-Rin in your sleep, do you want to go outside and collect a bell or something?"
Guruguru asked.
"You also say stupid Kakashi."
"Yeah, that's right!" The other White Zetsu added.
"What's a stupid Kakashi?"
"Beats me, why don't you ask him?"
While the White Zetsu discussed with each other, Obito was embarrassed by what he was hearing.
'I really say that? Seriously?'
Obito was ashamed, and Ryuu just smiled.
White Zetsu turned and started whispering something to each other.
"Umm… May I ask you something?"
"What?" Obito responded.
"The call of nature! In short, what does the urge to poo feel like? For example…"
Ryuu frowned and facepalmed.
"I thought you wanted to know about stupid Kakashi! Why are you guys so obsessed with poo?!" Obito yelled.
"There's no need to get all huffy. Fine, we'll ask about Rin and stupid Kakashi later." White Zetsu replied.
"I especially hate you with the whirly face! And where'd the other White guys go?"
"Outside to collect Intel."
White Zetsu replied.
"I'm bored." Ryuu used his Mangekyou to teleport to his dimension.
"At least I have some privacy in here."
He said as he stood up.
He made a walking stick with the ash and used it to move around better.
'Sometimes when I get bored I come here. Especially in these few months after getting the Hashirama cells.
I've made this place into an almost complete replica of Konoha.'
Ryuu walked into his old house.
"It still doesn't feel the same. Not without you two." He made Kakashi and Sakumo with the ash.
"I'll come back, I promise."
Ryuu left his dimension.
"Let's try again." Ryuu and Obito started trying to walk, they wobbled and fell.
Guruguru caught Obito while Ryuu used his flames to catch himself.
"I can help you know." White Zetsu said.
"I'm better off without you." He Replied as he tried again.
After a few weeks, Ryuu and Obito could walk again.
The White Zetsu's would jump around and celebrate.
Ryuu and Obito celebrated with them.
After that, they spent months training and adapting to their new bodies through exercise, their hair had grown long.
Obito's hair grew to resemble Madara's, while Ryuu's hair finally resembled the Uchiha in shape, spiky hair red in color.
One night, Ryuu was asleep but was woken up when he felt one of his seals disturbed.
"Gasp!" Ryuu woke up gasping, he entered his dimension.
"Rin's in trouble!" Ryuu teleported to Rin.
"He's here, I know we can't defeat him, but at least we can stall him…
Even for a bit, at least until Madara's plan works."
A voice gave out orders, and then three attackers headed towards Ryuu.
They knocked Rin out; they were on a boat headed towards Kirigakure.
He entered black lightning chakra mode and ran past them, defeating them, leaving one alive, and sealing him in the Amber purification jar.
'They aren't faster than normal shinobi, with this, I should be able to sneak in without being seen.'
Ryuu said to himself as he snuck into the boat using transparent jutsu and sage mode, they knocked Rin out and put her in a genjutsu.
"Release!"
Ryuu removed the genjutsu they used on her.
"Ugh…" She held her head as she opened her eyes.
"Hey, are you ok?"
Rin didn't recognize that voice, since Ryuu's voice had deepened since the last time they saw each other, but she recognized his hair and Sharingan.
"Ryuu?" He smiled.
"You're alive!" She quickly got up and hugged him.
"Listen, I don't have much time here, so I'll make this quick.
I have an important question for you."
She nodded.
"Did you like Obito?"
She thought about it and then nodded.
"Of course, he was our friend."
Ryuu shook his head.
"I'm not talking about that type of liking, I want to know if you loved him differently, you know?"
"Well… I didn't know it back then, but after he died… I wish I told him when he was alive… When he was still here with us."
"Good enough…"
Ryuu sat down and tried to remember his plan.
"Alright, I have a plan, but it requires you to stay with the hidden mist shinobi for a while."
She nodded.
"I'm going to put you in a genjutsu, then I'll be back to save you, I promise."
Ryuu used his Sharingan to cast a genjutsu on Rin and then left her there.
Ryuu's ashes made him undetectable, and he used that to sneak around and hide.
'I've been planning this for a while now, I know I won't fail.
Not this time…'
They reached Kirigakure, Yagura was there and took Rin to an underground hideout where he kept the three tails, he was under Madara's genjutsu.
He started preparing the seals.
Using Chidori, Ryuu had killed all the surrounding white Zetsu so fast that they couldn't communicate with each other, then he focused on Yagura.
Ryuu's eyes shifted into a four-pointed wheel.
"Kotoamatsukami!"
'This can break control on reanimated people, so this should work here too, I hope...'
The Genjutsu was broken and Yagura was free, but he was sluggish, this was the first time he'd been free from Madara's Genjutsu and his senses were overwhelming him.
Ryuu took out a scroll where he kept the Amber purification jar from Kumogakure, he removed a body from it.
"You're almost dead, if I leave you like this for an hour, you'll die, for sure."
He removed a blood pack from another scroll and injected it into the body.
He ignited the body in Phoenix Flame.
"Gasp!"
He woke up.
"Be quiet and do what I say, I'm your master." Ryuu used Kotoamatsukami to control him.
He kept quiet and laid back.
'Good.'
"Ninja art: Mind transfer jutsu!"
Ryuu took over his mind and envisioned Rin's chakra, he quickly swapped Rin and the fake one then left to his dimension.
"Release!" She slowly woke up from the genjutsu placed on her.
"You're safe now, but it's not over yet, I'll be gone but I'll be back later."
Ryuu teleported.
He teleported to the mist village where he was discovered by patrolling ninjas.
He planned to make it seem like he couldn't find or save her.
"We won't let you get in our way!"
They charged toward Ryuu.
"Water style: giant bullet ball!" Using their mouths, they shot pressurized bullets toward Ryuu.
His Phoenix Flame blocked the shots away but created steam from the impact.
'Kirigakure will become Madara's pet, so the least I can do is weaken their forces.'
Ryuu stood in the middle and thousands of shinobi surrounded him, they hesitated to attack after seeing how futile their previous attack was.
Ryuu entered sage mode.
"We still outnumber him! Charge!"
They attacked Ryuu, hoping to outnumber him, and beat him using taijutsu only.
Ryuu removed his sword and attacked everyone.
Splatters of Blood and limbs were falling everywhere, Ryuu covered the ground in a sea of blood as Ryuu kept on slicing them.
He stepped on one of their heads and launched himself in the air and then quickly made hand signs.
"Phoenix style: Firestorm jutsu!"
Whoosh!
A massive storm unleashed itself and swallowed all nearby enemies.
Ryuu landed and swung his sword, and it unleashed a powerful wave of fire.
"Run!"
Ryuu extended an arm from his Susanoo and destroyed everyone who tried to run away.
"Water style: four shark shower!"
A man shot out four sharks toward Ryuu.
"Haven't you seen how futile that is?"
Ryuu turned around, his Mangekyou Sharingan was still on and his Susanoo disappeared.
The shinobi who fought him had strange features, he was a tall and muscular man and his skin was pale green, and had three marks on his face.
"What's your name?"
A small smirk appeared on his face.
"I am Kisame Hoshigaki." Ryuu smiled.
"Kisame huh?"
Ryuu returned his sword.
"I'm sparing your life, but I hope we don't meet as enemies next time because if we do, I'm not sure I'll have a kind heart like today."
Ryuu absorbed all the remaining flames and used his ash to absorb all the remaining chakra into the Amber purification jar.
"Why would you spare me?"
"It doesn't matter, just don't tell anyone I'm alive.
But now you owe me."
Ryuu teleported back into Madara's cave.
A white Zetsu came through the boulder.
"Hey, I was just outside! Your friends Rin and Stupid Kakashi are in a real pinch!"
Obito quickly got up.
"What's going on?!" He asked.
"They're by themselves, completely surrounded by Kirigakure shinobi!"
He quickly jumped out of bed and punched the boulder.
It left some cracks but didn't help.
"Obito, use Guruguru's body and catch up to me."
Ryuu formed a large ball of chakra in his hand.
He ran towards the boulder.
"Giant Rasengan!"
Boom!
It shattered the boulder and woke Madara up.
He had a disgusted look on his face.
"How disappointing…"
"I'm grateful that you saved me, but I'm leaving now, I have to save our friends."
"You're being too hasty. It may be premature thanking me."
"We've given our thanks, now we're going," Obito responded.
"You will return, and that's when I'll get your true gratitude."
