Chapter 72: Ryuu's new sword!
Ryuu used his Mangekyou to teleport above the hill carefully, he had given Nakamura some of my flames so she doesn't get killed in the other dimension.
"Alright, let's do this quickly, the faster we do this, the sooner we finish making that sword." I nodded as Rikuto spoke.
"We just need to get in there, the forge has a special stone which makes swords for the leader of the land of iron, we must be careful and use the most common and basic jutsu, we don't want to provoke another war, and also this place is heavily guarded so keep that in mind." Ryuu nodded.
Ryuu used the body flicker jutsu to move faster.
'Once we snuck in the forge, it surprised us at how big it was, they filled the whole place with swords and fire, and to make this worse, there were multiple stones that looked special.'
"Which one is the one we are looking for?" Ryuu asked quietly.
"It's not here." He said.
Ryuu could feel a guard coming their way, so he signaled Rikuto, he nodded and hid away.
Ryuu used his Sharingan to extract information through genjutsu and left with Rikuto.
"What did you find?" Rikuto asked.
"That stone you're looking for, if it's that powerful, then it's probably being guarded in the vault behind Mifune's office."
Rikuto started thinking of a plan.
"We have to be very careful here, encountering Mifune will be catastrophic." I nodded.
"So what do we do now, brother?" He still hadn't come up with a plan.
"We'll figure it out as we go." Rikuto nodded.
They calmly walked to Mifune's office.
'I could sense everyone there. I found out his office was being guarded by four samurai on each side and within two more surrounded him.'
"I have an idea, if my ashes and smoke work like Phoenix Flame, that means there are levels to them so I could release a small amount to knock them out."
"Are you sure you can do this?"
Ryuu shook his head.
"Honestly, I'm taking a gamble here."
Ryuu facepalmed.
"How could I forget, Tsunade-chan must be so sad right now, she made a gamble on me and I failed her!"
Rikuto shook him and snapped him out of it.
"Hey, we're still on a mission here, relax and focus on the task at hand." I nodded.
"Sorry about that." He said as he scratched his head shyly.
"Anyway, let me try it, Brother." (Sigh)
Seeing that they had no other choice, Rikuto could only sigh.
Ryuu used his disguise to get close, but he could only get so far,
He stopped walking as a guard stopped him.
"You there, where are you going?" Ryuu slowly turned around, ready to use his Sharingan.
"Just kidding, you're looking as shy as ever Yushin, is your wife mad at you or something?" Ryuu scratched his head shyly.
"You guessed it." He Replied.
"Why don't you come to the tavern with us, free some stress, honestly with all this going on, who wouldn't, these shinobi from the other lands are immature, always fighting about power, Right?" Ryuu nodded.
"Sorry, I have to deliver some news to Mifune-sama, I spotted someone trying to break in, I didn't see what village they're from but they looked dangerous."
Ryuu's eyes widened.
"Then you better get going." He nodded and left.
"Whew, that was close," Ryuu said to himself.
'Knock knock knock!' Ryuu was let in, the guards didn't question him and let him through.
"What is it?" Mifune asked.
"I've come here to report to you that there's someone who tried sneaking into our land, they can hide their chakra and I was lucky to see them."
His eyes widened.
"You didn't stop him yourself?" I shook my head.
"When I saw him, he had already defeated my superiors, so I came here and report instead of dying meaninglessly." He nodded.
"A correct decision, but I have a question for you." I nodded.
"What was your superior's name?" Ryuu gulped.
"Excuse me?" He said to stall.
"Say his name."
'We should've extracted information before doing this.'
The guards pointed their Katana at me.
"Mangekyou Sharingan!" Ryuu activated his Mangekyou and a dark smoke came from his left eye, it surrounded everything and spread out through the office, after a few seconds, he closed his eye and it stopped spreading, it knocked out everyone.
"Argh!" Ryuu covered his eye in pain.
"The effects of the Mangekyou have already begun taking place."
'My eyesight was becoming worse, but now isn't the right time to be worrying about that.'
"Sorry for doing that, but I need to finish this quickly." Ryuu placed a seal on the door.
He teleported to Rikuto and grabbed him.
"You pulled it off, huh?" I nodded.
"Let's do it now, I don't know how long they'll be out." He nodded.
We both entered Phoenix Flame, they made the wall of stone which was reinforced by steel and chakra.
"We need to be precise with this, focus flames on your sword, then draw a door."
Ryuu did as he was told, he drew a door using his sword.
"Before we go in, there's a seal on top and beside us, we should take care of them first." He nodded.
We released the seals and entered.
"It's like a treasure room in here, there are so many things," Ryuu said to himself.
"Found it," Rikuto said.
"You scumbag!" Mifune was behind us, he woke up and we needed to get out without a Flying Raijin.
"Ryuu, water wall!" I nodded.
Ryuu weaved the hand signs for a water wall.
"Water style: water wall jutsu!" Ryuu created a massive wall of water.
"Fireball Jutsu!" Rikuto shot out a large fireball, clashing with the water wall making a lot of steam come out, Mifune had to move away from there and lost sight of them.
Luckily, before Mifune found them, they had already gone out of there and back to Nakamura; she stayed outside, guarding them.
"Let's go home, Nakamura."
Ryuu grabbed both of them and teleported back to the cave.
"Man, that was close." Rikuto nodded.
"Now we can finally finish your new sword, but one last thing." Ryuu facepalmed.
"I swear, it's always one last thing with you." He chuckled.
"I need you to take me to that other dimension." Ryuu nodded.
He activated his Mangekyou and teleported to the other dimension, then gave him some of his Phoenix Flame.
"Give me your blade, I need to test something." Ryuu gave it to him.
"Make a blade using the ashes and smoke."
'I held out my hand and imagined a blade.'
The ash spun around and finally stopped and straightened; it became a dark sword with sharp edges and smoke around it.
"Now what?" I asked.
"Swing your blade at this one, I want to test the quality, and remember, don't use your strength." Ryuu nodded.
Ryuu swung his ash blade and hit his old one.
"Nothing happened." Rikuto seemed disappointed, then.
'Whoosh!' His old blade broke in half.
"Impossible," Rikuto said.
"I didn't even feel it cutting, is that how sharp it is?" Ryuu was speechless.
"That was amazing," Ryuu said.
"Let's go back, I have an idea," Rikuto said, Ryuu brought him back to the cave.
"Come with me, let's make a great sword." I nodded and followed him.
The rest of the day and night was just both of them making a sword, but they also planned to make different weapons and occasionally Nakamura would lend them a hand by fetching water and equipment.
"Ryuu, draw your blood here and here." He cut my hand and dropped my blood on the handle, he did the same to his own.
"Now direct a little Phoenix Flame in the middle and be careful not to destroy it like last time."
Ryuu glared at him but did as he said.
"And lace the edge with some of your ash."
Ryuu activated his Mangekyou and brought some ash from his dimension, they followed him constantly moving around him; he dragged his finger across the edges and they followed his movements; they laced themselves onto the edge.
"And also on the point."
Rikuto left and came back with the dark stone they stole from the land of iron.
"Here, come with me and grab that knife." Ryuu took a knife from the table and followed Rikuto.
"Scrape this stone just a little, I need to see something." Ryuu scraped it with the knife and it had a white mark.
"Grab that hammer and chisel."
Ryuu brought the two items to him and gave him.
"What do you think you're doing? This sword is yours, the best swords are the ones you make yourself."
"But what if I mess it up? Won't we have to get the stone all over again?" He shook his head.
"Have some confidence in yourself, I'll quickly teach you." Ryuu smiled and nodded.
He grabbed the chisel and hammer.
"Usually, one would have to wear safety glasses because some of these stones can hit your eyes but not us, we have Phoenix Flame to protect us, anyway, when shaping a rare stone you have to be delicate and accurate."
Rikuto grabbed another stone and grabbed another chisel and hammer.
He hit the rock and some of it fell off.
Ryuu used his Sharingan to observe his elder brother and did exactly as he did.
When Rikuto saw Ryuu was struggling, he would help him by showing him every to hit next.
After 30 minutes, they finished up and the rock within was free.
Ryuu picked it up to see it better, it was smooth and shiny even so, nothing special about it except the looks.
"Rikuto, did we only get this stone for its looks or what?" He smiled and said.
"Just wait and see, for now, just clean it up a little." I nodded.
Ryuu cleaned it and then rinsed it, after that he went to meet up with Rikuto.
"Use the stone tumbler over there to polish it and after you do that meet me near the sword, we're almost done."
After polishing the stone, he met up with Rikuto.
"What now?" I asked.
"Place the stone right here and cover your eyes."
Ryuu placed the stone on the pommel of the sword, then he covered his eyes.
"Uzumaki style: containment seal!" The entire room shined brightly for a second, then it slowly dimmed.
"You can open your eyes now." Ryuu opened his eyes.
"What was that jutsu?" He asked.
"Our clan had many secrets, we had Jutsus and weapons that sounded like they were from tales you tell your child.
We didn't share all this with Konoha, this one contains unnatural and powerful energy within objects.
However, this jutsu can only work with a special rock that only grew in Uzushiogakure inner mines, that's the same rock that we took back from the land of iron."
"Did they steal it from us?" Rikuto shook his head.
"We gave the land of iron a box of them, as a symbol of peace, they mistook them as jewelry but it doesn't matter, after one hour, your sword will be finished, it has new abilities and it will be far greater than any other sword." Ryuu nodded.
