Chapter 54: Orochcimaru's Lab rat, Sakumo's Rage!
As we were heading back home, I felt someone else's chakra following us, but I knew who it was.
"You two go on ahead, I'll be back."
They left without me.
"Orochimaru-sama, I forgot to thank you for saving both me and my dad."
Ryuu said while shyly scratching the back of his head.
"I'm sure you had problems of your own, but anyway I need to take you back to my lab and run some tests, that I'll need your help to do."
Ryuu nodded and teleported with Orochimaru to his lab.
"What tests are we running?"
He went to get some equipment.
"Well, something bothers me about your blood cells, and I want to fix my problem."
"Problem?" I asked.
He nodded and gave me a document.
"These are our documents from the hospital, how did you get them?"
"Tsunade, of course, I wanted to see why and how that method you used worked and why it didn't work on the other test subjects."
I nodded. "So, what did you find out?"
He looked back and took the documents.
"That's what I need you for, I'm trying to figure out what's so special about your blood cells, they're interesting to me and might just align with what I have planned, so will you help me?" I nodded.
"Of course, shall we get started?" He licked his lips with a weird smile and nodded, which creeps me out.
Meanwhile, in the Hokage's office, Hiruzen, Danzo, Koharu, and Homura were having a meeting…
"We nearly lost one of the most powerful shinobi and you want us to punish him?"
Danzo nodded.
"Don't be soft Hiruzen, if you let him go without punishment it will be seen as weakness, not only that, people will see that it's ok to break the rules as a shinobi, these people are nothing but tools to protect the village, it should be an honor to serve Konoha like this, you're being difficult!" Danzo Said.
"Hiruzen, we are in a war right now and we cannot afford weakness, one of our shinobi has broken the rules. We must show strength by punishing him," Koharu added to Danzo's point.
"So you want us to kill him? Have you gone mad?!" His chakra and killing intent made the room intense.
"One of our most talented shinobi almost lost their father and worse, we almost lost a pillar in Konoha and this is what you want us to do!?" He was so furious he accidentally broke his pipe.
"I already feel bad enough for what I did, but you want me to punish him further?"
"Knock knock knock"
"Come in!"
Their meeting was interrupted when someone they didn't expect walked in.
"Sakumo-sama!?" Homura was shocked as Sakumo entered, the entire room felt intense, he had a disdainful look on his face.
"What's wrong Danzo? You look like you've seen a ghost."
"Welcome back Sakumo I'm sorry I couldn't come to visit you in the hospital, I'm even more sorry we all allowed for you to be put in a position like that."
The Hokage was the only one who spoke out.
"I do not quarrel with you, but if any one of you old fools ever sends someone to invade my property again, I will sever your limbs before you can say a word.
Hiruzen Sarutobi is my Hokage not any of you, I serve him and I will go through anyone who gets in my way, that's including you!"
He pointed at Danzo.
Danzo frowned and stood up from where he sat.
"Hokage-sama, didn't you just hear him threatening me? He deserves punishment for such treason that, and being a failure to his village, he killed someone from your clan."
The Hokage didn't speak but sat there smoking his pipe.
"Danzo, as I said, if you get in my way again I will end your life, unfortunately for me, your only ally is Hokage-sama, your root members, and these old fools, but I am known throughout the village.
All clans side with me, imagine all the chaos that could occur if I were to tell them your secret, how you endangered the village where they live, where their children are being raised, and where their ancestors sacrificed themselves for."
Danzo was furious even by just looking at him.
"Danzo, what is he talking about?"
Hiruzen asked.
"Sakumo, you must've hit your head somewhere, everything I do is to the village's interests. Why would I endanger the safety of the village?"
Sakumo smiled.
"Hokage-sama, these are for you." Sakumo gave some documents to the Hokage, he quickly scrolled through them and his face grew grimmer the more he saw.
"Danzo, you fool, you are to disband root immediately until I give you permission!"
He folded his fist and tried to punch Sakumo.
Before anyone knew it, Sakumo sliced off Danzo's arm.
Everyone was shocked, they didn't even see him remove his blade, all they saw was a white light.
"From here on I'm declaring that no one tries to harm Sakumo Hatake or anyone he knows, if I find anything against him I will join him in his rampage of anger, and Sakumo, please take my apologies."
He bowed respectfully as he apologized.
Sakumo left the office.
"Hokage-sama, why didn't you stop him?"
Koharu asked.
"Unless my eyes are playing tricks on me, he seems to have gotten stronger and faster."
Koharu and Homura quickly glanced at each other, they were so frightened of what they had seen and more frightened about what the Hokage had said.
"Could he have gotten stronger?" They asked themselves.
Meanwhile, Ryuu was still undergoing tests in Orochimaru's lab…
"Orochimaru-sama is focused, and he hates to be disturbed, maybe I should meditate and see if I can sense anything."
He said to himself as he closed his eyes and sat with his feet crossed.
After an hour, he got bored, then he stopped meditating.
"Orochimaru-sama, isn't there some way I can help you with your research?"
He nodded.
"I found something interesting about your blood cells, and as I suspected, they're very special I've seen nothing like them." As he was speaking, Ryuu's eyes widened in awe.
"The way you talk about them, someone might think they're cells from lord first."
He jokingly said.
"Your blood cells might even be greater than lord first." He went to another room to look for something, then he came back with something in a small container.
"Are those?" He nodded
"These are blood cells from Hashirama Senju, I trust you'll keep between us, they cause quite a problem if discovered." I nodded.
"I'm sure you've felt it, right? You're becoming stronger ever since you recovered you've been different, even Sakumo himself probably feels stronger and more agile after you saved his life."
Ryuu remembered when Sakumo told him he felt better than ever.
"So what exactly does my blood do?"
Orochimaru took back the Hashirama cell from me.
"If you remember correctly, the time we tested your cells in medical ninjutsu, the failed experiments were all in perfect condition and quality, but the one that worked was an older animal." I nodded.
"I didn't realize it at that moment but now I see, your blood has many abilities hidden within you and you've just awakened one of them, I don't know exactly how many you have or what you have to do to awaken the others, for now, you've awakened an ability even Hashirama cells don't have, your blood cells can recreate absolutely anything and develop whatever they've recreated into it's perfect form."
Ryuu widened his eyes.
"When you saved Sakumo-sama, you didn't heal his heart. You destroyed everything inside him and recreated his whole blood cells within his heart and once you did that, the blood his heart was pumping was never the same, but better.
Sakumo now has increased his chakra and surpassed himself when he was in his prime, he is now nearly three times more powerful." Ryuu's eyes widened.
"However, if you use this healing technique too many times for a long period, you will die, it is imperfect, with dire consequences unless you improve it.
I nodded.
"And the only way I can do that I'd by continuously using Phoenix Flame mode at a small limit, it's like working out, constantly destroying your muscles so that they rebuild and become stronger than ever, right?" He nodded.
"Thank you, Orochimaru-sama, but I have to go now." He nodded, I teleported back home.
"Where have you been?"
Sakumo asked.
"I was with Orochimaru-sama in his lab, helping him out."
He nodded.
"Well, Kakashi and I were heading to bed, you can cook some food if you want I have cooked nothing."
I nodded.
That whole night I spent hours reading my book and learning Jutsu's, the entire night passed in what felt like a minute and the morning reached, Sakumo left to the Hokage's office, and Kakashi and I headed to the training ground.
