Chapter 108: Kamui!
"Here goes."
Ryuu entered black lightning chakra mode and left.
He ran as fast as he could and was moving faster than ever before, in normal eyes, he didn't even leave a blur and would simply appear out of thin air.
"My plan will work." He said, reassuring himself.
Ryuu found Kakashi's hand inside Rin's chest.
"Kakashi," Rin called his name as she died with his hand in her chest.
"Damn, he did it!" yelled a Kiri shinobi.
It shocked the Kiri shinobi to see that Kakashi would kill her.
"Rin…" Kakashi fell to one knee in sorrow.
Obito and Kakashi's eyes spun around and then three stretched triangles evenly spaced around the pupil that each curve at the top around the eye to form a circle.
Kakashi fainted.
"After we went through all that trouble to get her!" yelled another shinobi from Kiri. Obito's mask uncovered.
"Aaaah!" Obito screamed.
Spikes of wood grew on his back and chest, his mask went back on.
They threw their shurikens at him, but they passed through him.
"I will not accept any of this!" He quickly dashed towards them.
"Die!" He stabbed them all with a spike made of wood style.
They tried stabbing him, but the swords passed through.
"We can't hit him?" He jumped up and kicked them both.
"We need to at least retrieve the girl, don't hand her corpse to the enemy!"
One of them said.
"Behind us!"
"Phoenix style: Firestorm jutsu!"
A large firestorm formed and combined with Phoenix Flame, it swallowed everyone around and burned them all.
Ryuu absorbed all the remaining fires.
"Compressed Flame jutsu!" Ryuu hit the ground.
Boom!
A massive explosion was sent, and the ground shattered.
"That level of fire style?! You can't be him, can you?" Ryuu stabbed the shinobi in the chest.
He opened a portal and let out dark smoke and ash that slowly burned the enemies from the inside out.
Obito went over to Rin's body.
"I get it… I'm in hell."
He tried holding her but passed through.
Then he tried again and put her on his chest.
"Rin…
Let's…
Let's create a world where you exist again."
He glanced at Kakashi, who had still fainted, then he looked at Ryuu.
"Before you do anything like that, come with me."
Obito nodded.
Ryuu gave him and Kakashi his flames, then he opened a portal and teleported to his dimension with the white Zetsu who was nearby.
"Ryuu, what is this place, it's like Konoha and why have you brought me here?"
Ryuu waved his hand and the surrounding ash moved away and brought Rin.
"That's impossible!" Ryuu shook his head.
"Obito, Madara wants to manipulate and use both of us into doing what he wants. Isn't that right White?"
White Zetsu separated himself from Obito's body and moved near the other one.
"Don't think you can talk with your friends from here, this is far beyond your range."
"Rin!" Obito ran towards her and hugged her.
"Now, while my friends catch up with each other, I'll deal with you two."
Ryuu looked at the White Zetsu behind him.
They tried running away, Ryuu smirked and controlled the ash to bring them back.
"Don't worry, I will not kill you."
White Zetsu tilted his head.
"You won't?" Ryuu shook his head.
"You guys were once our friends, weren't you?" They quickly nodded.
His eyes spun around and formed a four-pointed wheel.
He used Kotoamatsukami on them.
"That's why once Madara dies you will only obey Obito and me, until then you won't tell Madara what happened here." He nodded.
"Go back to Obito." He walked over to Obito. Obito prepared to fight.
"Wait!" Obito stopped.
"He won't harm you nor will he report back to Madara what happened here, I put him under our control." Obito nodded and put his guard down.
"Madara?" Rin asked, curiously.
Ryuu nodded.
"It's probably best if we don't give Rin or Kakashi that much information."
Ryuu used mind transmission and told Obito.
"So, do you have a plan against him?" Ryuu nodded.
"One way or another, Madara Uchiha will return from death, so I plan on being 10 steps ahead so that even if he comes back, we'll defeat him."
He nodded.
"First part of the plan is to make him believe he has a hold on us.
But that's the part we won't like."
Obito's eyes widened.
"You want me to go back?"
Ryuu nodded.
"You can't be serious, we just freed ourselves from him.
We just got our friends back!"
"Don't you get it, we're doing all this for our friends!" He frowned.
"Listen, if we leave Madara he'll probably start looking for another child to manipulate, or worse, he comes for one of our friends." Obito nodded.
"And it's only tonight, if you follow my plan perfectly, he won't suspect a thing from either of us." He hesitated.
"But what if the plan fails?!"
"Don't think like that, I'll save you from his influence, I promise."
Ryuu looked at Kakashi, who was still knocked out.
'After we do this, I'll fix your eye, it drains too much chakra. I need you to become stronger.' Ryuu said to himself as he looked at Kakashi.
"Then let's do this," Obito said.
"Obito, come with me for a minute."
He followed Ryuu.
Ryuu made a building around them.
"I'm not sure this plan will work, so I need you to do something for me, do you accept?" He nodded.
"Anything." Ryuu smiled and whispered something in his ear.
"What?! Are you kidding?!"
Ryuu shook his head.
"Do it and stop being spineless."
He sighed.
Ryuu dismantled the building and pushed Obito towards Rin.
"Rin. We need to talk." She smiled and nodded.
"Well, I've wanted to tell you this for a while, but then I never got the chance to, but the point is.
I… I've always liked you, ever since we met, but then I was just a loser and at the time it looked like you liked Kakashi more…
I just never got the chance to tell you and when I did, I was so shy and chose not to say anything then I got taken away and I thought I'd never get the chance to say it to you then- "She kissed him.
He froze at first, but closed his eyes and kissed her back.
"Finally."
Ryuu said as he watched them.
He looked away and started planning something else, after a while, Ryuu finished his plans and went back to Obito.
"Are you two done?"
They had laid back, holding each other as they talked.
"It's time to go already?" Ryuu nodded.
"Do you remember the plan?"
Obito nodded.
"If things get worse, I'll save you, you're my friend after all." He nodded.
He left and went back to Madara's hideout while Ryuu stayed with Kakashi and Rin.
"Does this mean it's over?" Rin asked.
"Not exactly, it's only the beginning, I'm leaving you two in Konoha."
Rin nodded.
"Before you go, you should know what happened to Ichika."
"Is something wrong with Ichika?"
Rin nodded.
"Over a month ago, Kumogakure broke the alliance with Konoha, and when Ichika was sent to attempt bringing the alliance back…"
She wavered as if she wasn't or didn't want to say something.
"Rin, what happened?"
She frowned.
"They kidnapped her and tortured her, she still hasn't completely recovered from her wounds." Rins words shook Ryuu to the core, her voice began disappearing in his ears.
Suddenly, it felt as if his entire world collapsed; he felt a sharp pain in his chest and held it while he began panting.
Ryuu didn't even hear anything else Rin said, he subconsciously clenched his fist tighter than ever, and blood dripped from his hands.
"Rin, who did this?" He muttered under his breath.
"The Third Raikage did."
"The Third Raikage?" She nodded.
"Isn't Kumo supposed to be in an alliance with us?" Rin shook her head.
"Kumogakure betrayed Konoha, they said it was because you weren't there to fulfill your end of the deal." Ryuu frowned.
Ryuu teleported Kakashi and Rin to Konoha.
"Remember, you can't tell anyone about this, not even Kakashi, I know it will be hard doing this, but we don't have a choice." She nodded.
"Ryuu." He looked back at her.
"Promise me you'll come back safe."
"I promise."
Ryuu teleported to Amegakure.
'Madara wants Obito to win over and groom Nagato, then collect the scattered-tailed beasts and revive him using Nagato's Rinne rebirth jutsu, hmph, what a joke.'
Ryuu removed his mask and walked toward Nagato.
"I've seen you before, haven't I?" Nagato asked.
"We briefly met when I was on a mission, I'm Ryuu Uchiha."
Yahiko nodded.
"I remember you, Jiraiya-sensei's other student, right?"
Ryuu nodded.
"Why have you approached us this time?"
Yahiko asked.
"To protect you, there's someone you've met who looks to groom Nagato and once they do that, he plans to use you for your eyes and revive him.
Those eyes were originally his, he implanted them into you when you were a young child."
Nagato's eyes widened.
"With the help of the Rinnegan, he wants to place the world in a genjutsu, a world where only victors exist.
As soon as you attain the Rinnegan's true power, such a world can be real."
Yahiko stepped forward.
"And what do you want?"
"I want to keep you safe, Hanzo of the salamander is being manipulated into thinking that you and your Akatsuki are rebelling against him, he gave you his word but will break it soon because he's paranoid.
Today you're going to negotiate with him, right?"
He nodded.
"Let me come with you to protect you from the shadows, I won't interfere unless they attack first." He nodded.
"Follow us," Konan said.
She led Ryuu to an underground hideout, many of the Akatsuki were there, they entered a secluded room, and Nagato and Konan left Ryuu and Yahiko together.
"I want to know more about the upcoming attack, assuming that you're not lying." Ryuu nodded.
"Hanzo has allied himself with a Konoha man called Danzo Shimura.
He believes Hanzo will help him usurp the third Hokage after he helps him eradicate your organization during this negotiation.
I have an idea, you won't like it, but it's the only thing we can do."
Yahiko nodded.
Ryuu told Yahiko his plan.
"Are you certain this is the only way?"
Ryuu nodded.
"I've thought this through for months, I can't guarantee nothing will go wrong. However, I can be certain this is the best move we can make for now."
"Fine, then let us begin." Ryuu nodded.
Yahiko opened the door, kicking Ryuu out.
"It appears I was wrong, Hanzo isn't trying to attack you all, I thought he would because the last time I was here he attacked me, you know," Ryuu said as he scratched his head shyly.
Konan frowned.
She controlled paper and made spikes and aimed them at Ryuu.
"You wasted our time?!"
"He's not worth it," Yahiko stated.
She pushed him away with the paper.
