Chapter 77: Ichiraku Ramen Grand Opening
Today, Ryuu woke up much earlier than usual, that's because of the poster he saw yesterday.
'Ichiraku ramen is opening today, I have to be Teuchi's first customer.'
He quickly got ready and left for Ichirakus' place.
"I'm 4 hours early, it appears he's not ready yet, but I'll wait."
Ryuu stood there and watched as many people joined and lined up for Teuchi's ramen.
'even though I made my mind up to wait for the Ramen, the scent I was receiving was making my stomach disagree with my decision to wait.'
After a few hours, he finally opened.
"Four extra-large bowls of miso ramen, please!" He said.
"Right up, I'll even add some Naruto for your patience, and for being my first customer today, you've been waiting this whole time, right?" He said with a smile.
"Thanks a lot, sir!"
'He gave me my ramen, and I sat nearby to eat it but, someone cannot consume regularly such godly ramen.'
Ryuu opened his Sharingan and took his first bite of the Ramen.
"The quality, the taste, and the godliness, it's almost too good to be true, no, it is too good to be a dream, but I don't want to wake up from this magical moment.
It's much better than I could've imagined!"
He said.
Ryuu finished his Ramen and couldn't believe he ate that fast, he considered eating the other three but fought against his thoughts.
Meanwhile, Minato looked like he was struggling to look for someone.
"Oh, man." Minato shook his head, just looking at the line.
'He was looking anxious, as if he was struggling to find someone, then he headed my way.'
"Ryuu?" He looked up to see Minato.
"Have you been here the whole time?"
Ryuu nodded.
"This is the best ramen I've ever had!"
He said.
Minato smiled.
Someone who tapped Minato on the shoulder stopped their conversation.
"Hey there."
Minato turned to see Jiraiya.
"Jiraiya-sensei." He greeted him.
"Come with me for a minute, will ya?"
Minato and Ryuu followed him to an open alley.
"Now watch carefully, and be amazed."
Chakra formed on his palm and soon a Rasengan formed.
"Isn't this amazing? I mastered the hidden jutsu. It took you two full years to perfect, and I mastered it already, isn't this incredible?!"
"It's amazing, I'm impressed Jiraiya-sensei," Minato said.
"Haha haha, I know, right?!" Minato bowed respectfully.
"But, I'm in a hurry so…" He walked away, leaving Jiraiya-sensei disappointed.
"Wait! Big brother Minato!"
Ryuu called him, he came back.
"What is it?" Ryuu held out his hand and chakra formed on his hand, his Rasengan was bigger than Jiraiya's, bigger than a basketball.
"Woah." They both reacted to seeing it.
"And I'm not done."
Ryuu added lightning chakra and lightning started balancing on the Rasengan, he then threw it, and it vanished into the air.
"Hah! It doesn't work, but the size was still impressive." Jiraiya said.
"Just wait for a second, sensei."
"Boom!" It exploded, hitting a tree nearby, the tree shattered into pieces and they could see a small crater.
"Woah, Ryuu, do you realize what you've done? You made an S-rank ninjutsu!" Minato said.
"Great, you've just stolen my thunder, you child."
Ryuu scratched his head shyly and smiled.
"You're once again one step ahead of me, Ryuu." Minato sighed.
"One step ahead of you?" Jiraiya asked.
"Sensei, Ryuu is the one who helped me develop the Rasengan in the first place, if it weren't for his help I would've taken a much longer time to develop it, now he is one step ahead by adding Nature transformation to it."
Ryuu smiled.
"Don't worry, big brother, I'll teach you my vanishing Rasengan later. By the way, you were looking for someone, right?" Minato nodded.
"I'm looking for Kakashi, we have a mission." Ryuu nodded and left.
'I went back to Ichiraku ramen to grab my Ramen, and that's when I saw Kakashi waiting in line with Guy, Asuma, and Shizune.'
"Oh, Ryuu, you must've been here all morning to get that ramen."
Ryuu nodded as Shizune spoke.
"I also just can't wait to eat some of that awesome Ramen!"
Shizune excitedly said.
"Mr. Teuchi's gutsy noodles and soup for the soul! I'll enjoy every drop with every fiber of my being!" Guy said enthusiastically.
"To create delicious flavors, that's also the will of fire," Asuma added.
"Hmph! all this excitement just for some ramen noodles, it's absolutely ridiculous."
"You're one to talk, you're also lining up for it, Kakashi." Ryuu scolded him.
"Kakashi, we have a mission," Minato said.
"Don't you want any of Mr. Teuchi's Ramen?" Guy asked.
"Unlike you, I'm too busy for that kind of stuff later!" He followed Minato and Ryuu and joined them.
"Did you see how Ryuu looked at me?" Shizune said while blushing.
"I think he was looking at Kakashi."
Guy said, Shizune glared at him.
"I can't stand those two guys, one is too cocky, and the other one is too cocky and too good to hate."
Asuma murmured to himself.
Earlier this morning in the Hokage's office…
"And that is the overview of your mission.
Minato Namikaze, Choza Akimichi, Shibi Aburame, you are to depart to Roran immediately."
Minato stood up.
"If you don't mind, I would like to bring these two shinobi with me."
He gave him Kakashi's and Ryuu's detailed reports.
"Well, things with Ryuu and I have been shaky since he came back, I would hate to make an enemy out of him and even worse to be the reason for another great Uchiha to abandon the village."
Everyone's eyes widened as they thought of the same name, the name of the ghost of the Uchiha.
"Hopefully, if I continue to show faith in him, it will mend our relationship, so in short you can take him with you, as for Kakashi Hatake, he is a talented shinobi and would do well with some on-field action so yes you can take him." He nodded.
"One more thing I want to know.
What was he like? That shinobi." Minato asked.
"Well, you have heard of how powerful the first Hokage's wood style was? Capable of making entire islands by himself."
Minato nodded.
"For Madara, it was quite different, those same islands and structures Lord first could build, Madara Uchiha could destroy them.
He had a fearless look and was very intimidating, to say the least, fortunately, I rarely saw him in person, his aura itself could kill."
Everyone was shocked to hear such words from the Hokage himself, they all wondered if he was real.
"But much like the last time I saw Ryuu, he had a look that said no one can beat me, even without a sound from his mouth."
Minato and the others gulped in fear.
"Anyway, get to the mission, enough time has passed."
"Right!" they responded.
Present time, Ryuu and Kakashi are preparing to go to Roran.
"You two ready?" They nodded.
"Our mission is located in Roran, the city of towers.
It is a city surrounded by the desert in the land of wind.
Anrokuzan, the evil prime minister who's making an evil plan to utilize the chakra ley line below the city of Roran to amass power and eventually wage war on the five nations.
Our mission is to investigate Anrokuzan and ruin his schemes."
They nodded as Minato gave them a brief description of the mission.
"We're getting near," Ryuu said.
They took a break before entering the land of wind.
"Here, take some Ramen from Ichiraku."
Ryuu gave Kakashi.
"Thanks." He said as he began eating, he finished his food in a second before covering his face again.
"I get Kakashi Hatake, he's a chunin at such a young age but what I don't understand is the other one, I've heard little about him, apparently he's a talented genius but still a genin, so why did you bring him?"
Shibi asked, Minato shook his head.
"Ryuu's not just a simple genin, nor is he simply 'talented'.
Just yesterday he learned my A-rank jutsu and this morning he showed me further development by making it an S-rank jutsu."
Shibi was stunned to hear that such a talented child existed.
"And that's to say the least of his accomplishments, on one mission he impressed Shikaku with his intelligence and planning."
Choza added.
Minato nodded and headed to Ryuu and Kakashi.
"Anyway, we must hurry now, are you two ready?"
They nodded, and they left, they were near Roran.
