Chapter 83: Ichika Senju
Ryuu and Kakashi spoke to each other using the link.
"She doesn't even look like Tsunade-chan. She looks more like lord 1st, especially that long dark hair."
"Why are you staring at her like that?" Kakashi asked.
"I'm just trying to see the resemblance, that's all."
"Quit being a pervert you idiot."
"Look who's talking you closet perv, I know what you hide underneath your bed."
Kakashi's eyes widened.
Ryuu disconnected the link as Ichika was walking toward him.
"Ryuu, you know my auntie?" He nodded.
"She taught me medical ninjutsu, I can take you to her if you'd like."
She smiled and nodded.
"Really?" Ryuu nodded.
"Alright, we better get going, I'm going to use a teleportation jutsu. Are you ready?"
She nodded.
Ryuu teleported to Tsunade, she was with the Third Hokage in his office.
"Auntie!" She ran to Tsunade and hugged her.
"Ichika, how have you been? Is your mother here?" She nodded.
"Ryuu, I have a request for you."
Ryuu nodded.
"You've already met my niece, Ichika, she's new to the village and has nowhere to stay, that's until I fix up the Senju compounds, I was about to place it on the market cause I need the betting money but I figured both you and Shizune would annoy me plus now it's going to have guests." Ryuu smiled.
"Plus, I also figured in the future you'd owe me one." Ryuu's head dropped depressingly.
"Anyway, show her around the village, she's only two years older than you, you'll find something interesting to do."
Ryuu nodded.
"Don't lie, I was the only one available for such a mission, right? Anyway, I don't mind at all."
"No, it's just that I'm too busy doing the job you forgot you had."
Ryuu shyly chuckled as he remembered his job as a medical-nin he hadn't gone to work for 2 weeks.
"We better get going, right Ichika?"
She nodded.
"Well, I know Jiraiya has his influence on you, but if you become a pervert like him near her, I'll crush your ribcage."
Ryuu gulped in fear.
"Tsunade-chan, no need to worry, I'll take care of your niece, you know."
A small smile appeared on her face.
'I don't doubt it.' Tsunade said to herself.
Ryuu and Ichika left.
"So, why did you come back to the village? I've never seen you here."
"Hey, don't tell me you already want me gone."
Ryuu shook his head and waved his hands.
"No, no, no, it's nothing like that." She chuckled.
"Relax, it's only a joke."
Ryuu dropped his head depressingly.
"You had me worried, you know."
She smiled.
"My parents grew up here, but they moved away after the second great shinobi.
Sadly, my father died a month ago but at least I still have my mum although, she got sick, we've been to many doctors but they all say the same thing, she has an incurable disease and doesn't have long; they say she has a few years left, so I came to look for the best medical-nin in the world hoping she can help her.
We arrived here today. We were planning on staying with aunt Tsunade until one of us gets a job. I want to be a Kunoichi like my auntie, so I'll apply to the academy shortly."
Ryuu nodded.
"Seeing how you handled yourself against those bullies, I don't doubt you'll pass."
"Really?" He nodded confidently.
"I'll speak to Sarutobi-sensei. Hopefully, I can convince him to allow you to do the examination early, you handled yourself well against those chunins." She nodded.
"Wow, you met him today and already have him acting like that, consider me impressed."
Kakashi said from above them.
"How am I acting?" He shook his head.
"Hi, I'm Kakashi Hatake, good to meet you.
Ryuu, sensei wants to meet you later, keep that in mind, I'll be gone now."
*Poof* his clone dispersed into smoke.
"Let's get going then." She said.
'What did Kakashi mean? I'm not acting weird, am I?'
Ryuu took her around the village, and first place began in the best restaurant in the village.
"So let me get this right, the first place you take me is a ramen restaurant."
Ryuu shook his head.
"Ichiraku ramen isn't simply any restaurant, Teuchi makes the best ramen in the village."
She smiled.
"Don't worry about the bill, I'll pay, buy whatever you want." She smiled.
"Hmph, are you trying to trick me into a date?"
Ryuu shook his head.
"This is just two friends enjoying some Ramen, you know."
Ichika chuckled,
"Ah, Ryuu, I see you brought a special lady here, I tell you what, everything is on me."
Ryuu smiled.
"Thanks a lot." He smiled and nodded.
"So, what can I get you?"
"I'll have one miso ramen please," she said
"The usual for you too?" Ryuu nodded.
'I'll always have room for Ichiraku ramen, especially when it's free.'
He said to himself.
"I have to say, this village is much more lively than I would've imagined, we lived in the land of snow. There isn't much that goes on there.
We stopped by the land of rice paddies and coincidentally that was the day the White Fang of the leaf appeared and stopped the shinobi from Kumogakure."
Ryuu widened his eyes.
"What is it? Do you know him?"
Ryuu nodded.
"He adopted me after my parents died."
He said.
"Oh, I'm sorry for bringing that up."
Ryuu shook his head.
"Don't worry about it, those are just old wounds now.
I made new friends and family and they helped me heal those old wounds, plus I had Kakashi.
He's like a brother to me, my first friend, I'll take that as a win any day."
'He cares so much for his friend, it's kinda cute.'
She said to herself as she looked at him.
"Two miso Ramen for you two."
Teuchi brought them Ramen.
After eating, Ryuu took her to see the great stone faces.
"These are the great Hokage stone faces, they're monuments to the previous and current Hokage, lord first said that with these stone faces all previous Hokage would look over the village.
Anyway, the first two, Hashirama and his younger brother Tobirama Senju, were the sensei of the third Hokage Hiruzen Sarutobi; he's also known as the professor because he mastered all ninjutsu that exists in the land of fire."
"One thousand!" A familiar voice said, Ryuu and Ichika looked back to see Guy had flipped over from his hands.
"Ryuu? You're already here? Just what I'd expect from my rival!"
Ryuu scratched his head and shyly smiled.
"Who's your friend?" He asked.
"My name is Ichika Senju, I'm new here and Ryuu offered to give me a tour of the village."
He nodded.
"By the way, this is Might Guy, he's my friend, he's one of the greatest Taijutsu users I know."
She smiled.
"Ryuu is great at everything he does, and I am his worthy rival!"
Ryuu shyly smiled.
'You're too loud and it's so early.'
"Anyway, we better go now, there are many places I can show you but none of them are like the next place. plus I don't have that much time. I have to meet big bro Minato."
She nodded.
'I walked with her to where I usually train.'
"Wow, what a view." She said.
"This is where I usually train by myself but sometimes I'm with Kakashi, you and your mother can live here until you find your place, I've placed a few seals around the area that will serve as a shield and an alarm, anytime unfamiliar chakra comes this way it will alert me because of my ash, so far only you, Kakashi and I have our chakra here."
She smiled.
"Really?" He nodded.
"Thank you so much, Ryuu."
She stared at the village from above.
"Initially, I was against moving to this village, I hated the idea of moving away even though I didn't even have any connections there.
No friends or anyone, I only knew my parents."
"Well, now you have friends here."
"Thanks for showing me around."
She said.
"Well, it was a good way to pass time but I'm afraid I have to go, Minato and the others need me on the training grounds." She nodded.
"You can come with me you'll meet Rin.
I'm sure you will be good friends with her and big sis Kushina, plus your aunt will kill me if I leave you here."
She chuckled.
"You're probably right, but first I'll have to tell Auntie Tsunade and my mother that you gave us this house."
Ryuu nodded.
"Alright." Ryuu teleported her to Tsunade first before going to the training grounds.
