Chapter 175: Gaara
"Shisui, let's go to our hotel."
Shisui followed Ryuu.
He was outside the room, standing guard, ready to defend Ryuu.
"How did the negotiations with the Kazekage go?"
"I'm positive he'll make the right decision." Shisui nodded.
"Here, I got us a hotel near his office, I'll be back later, I have to go check on something… more like someone."
"Someone?"
"Yeah, the reason we're here." Shisui nodded.
"Well, can I come? It's boring here."
"I don't see why not."
Ryuu left, and Shisui followed closely.
"Shisui, we have to be stealthy, I'm not supposed to meet Gaara until tomorrow."
"Then why are you doing this?"
"You'll see." Ryuu teleported them above a building.
Below them, was a small boy who has fair skin, green eyes, and short, spiky auburn hair and he had marks around his eyes.
He carried a small teddy bear and on his other hand was a toy shovel.
He was playing alone in the sand.
"Is that him?" Shisui asked.
"Yes, that's him, the one tail Jinchuriki."
"Why is he all by himself? Isn't he the Kazekage's son? And why does he look so restless?"
"He's by himself because of the lack of control in his power. He kills and hurts people with no intention of doing so.
But because of that, he lives alone, no one wants to get close to him, fearing that he'll hurt them too.
It's the curse of being a Jinchuriki.
Naruto goes through the same thing because of the nine-tails attack.
The only difference is, Naruto has multiple people who love and trust him now.
The reason his eyes look like that is that Gaara has insomnia.
He can't sleep at all because he fears Shukaku will possess him while he sleeps."
"I see…"
Ryuu controlled the sand near Gaara and turned it into a bear.
"Huh? I didn't…" Gaara's eyes widened and a small smile appeared as he started playing with the bear.
Ryuu smiled, seeing Gaara happier.
He teleported with Shisui back to their hotel.
"Come on, let's go check out the village," Ryuu suggested.
"Alright, I'm in."
Ryuu and Shisui left and headed outside.

As Ryuu and Shisui explored the hidden sand village, the Kazekage met with his advisors in the meeting hall.
"Rasa, you can't be serious about this! It is absurd to seek help from another village when it's something we can do by ourselves! Especially when it's from such a village as Konoha!" Lady Chiyo shouted furiously.
"I'm afraid my sister is right, trusting Konoha will only lead to our downfall.
Sunagakure doesn't need them for its matters, especially matters that are this important.
With your son as the Jinchuriki for the one tail, we can have the ultimate weapon.
A weapon so powerful that even Konohagakure will only submit."
Ebizo stated.
"Ebizo, Chiyo, with all due respect, what both of you say cannot and will not happen. Even with the one-tail and the other tailed beasts, Konohagakure still stands tall and stronger than all villages.
Why? Because of one shinobi and one shinobi alone, Ryuu Uchiha stands between Konoha and every other nation, and the margin of power isn't even close.
Allying with Konohagakure is the only way we secure safety and harmony for Suna, I'm sure even lord third would agree with me.
I admit, his demands are incredibly high, but so is what we're asking him to do.
Ryuu Uchiha has vowed to assist us in improving our control over a great weapon that could harm his village.
I believe we can use him to restore honor in Sunagakure."
"Tch!" They both clicked.
"Kazekage-sama is right." A young lady spoke, she was a new member of the Suna Council, a familiar face who took part in the war.
"Pakura, what do you mean?" Rasa asked.
"Look at the current state of Sunagakure.
We're low financially, we don't have enough resources for everyone and so we cut from some others.
Our Daimyo doesn't even believe in us, he already relies on other villages for missions that we can complete, but we're simply too expensive.
This offer Ryuu Uchiha has made for us isn't bad at all, but our pride is impeding the future state of the village.
But anyway, this decision is in your hands, Kazekage-sama, I'm just here to broaden your vision."
"I have some thinking to do, I will make my decision tomorrow.
Until then, I've dismissed you all."
The council members stood up and left.

Back in Konohagakure, Sakumo was finishing some documents before being visited by one of his shinobi.
Knock knock knock…
"Hokage-sama, may I come in?"
"Yes, come in."
An Anbu member walked in, he was in the cat division.
He kneeled in front of Sakumo and spoke.
"Hokage-sama, I have come to report on my mission."
Sakumo put his pen down and looked at him.
"Remove your mask, Hasai."
Hasai followed as ordered and removed his mask.
Behind his mask, Hasai had spiky, straight black hair and a scar across his face.
"Hasai, you're one of the few who was recommended by my son, aren't you?"
"Yes Hokage-sama, even though I am his elder, I served under Ryuu's command during the war."
"You did much more than that. You saved his life once, didn't you?"
"I wouldn't put it like that, I was just at the right place at the right time.
The captain had fought platoons before my unit arrived."
Sakumo nodded.
"I see…
Well, take these to Obito, and then you'll be dismissed."
Sakumo removed documents and gave them to Hasai.
"Thank you, Hokage-sama." Hasai bowed and put his mask on.
Just as Hasai was about to leave, he remembered something.
"Hokage-sama, I have word from Danzo-sama."
"Danzo-sama?"
Sakumo's eyes widened, and he reached for his white light chakra blade.
"Stop."
Hasai's voice echoed inside Sakumo's mind, almost like sound waves.
After hearing his voice, Sakumo froze where he was, his hand still on his chakra blade, and his eyes focused on Hasai.
"Don't panic, this will be over in a second."
Shiink!
Hasai slowly unsheathed his Katana.
Sakumo was looking around, his eye was rapidly moving around.
"This isn't personal.
Lord Danzo sends his regards.
After he takes control of the village, my clan will flourish.
Trust me, even Ryuu won't believe it.
Danzo-sama has plans for Konoha, and I won't fail my part in his master plan."
Hasai removed his mask.
His eyes glowed red with a sharp-edged pinwheel inside.
His eyes were bleeding, and he wiped the blood before it got too far.
"I know what you're thinking, trust me, I do.
Why are you doing this? What could the Uchiha clan possibly gain from this? And now you've figured out my Mangekyou Sharingan ability."
Sakumo began sweating and shivering.
"The name of my ability is Ayatsuru.
I can control your thoughts and actions with my eyes.
The only problem is, I have to speak to you first. That's how I knocked out the Anbu here. Even Ryuu wouldn't be able to get through this ability. It's unbreakable."
Hasai walked towards Sakumo with the katana in his hand.
A one-sided smirk crept over his face and his eyes widened as he said,
"Once Danzo-sama takes control of this village, the Uchiha clan will strive above all, once again!
Our rightful place above the other clans will finally be ours!"
Hasai pulled his Katana back and thrust it into Sakumo's chest…
"Huargh!"
Sakumo hurled out blood and his eyes bulged out as the blade struck his chest!
"Hmph, some Kage you are."
Hasai pulled back his Katana and spilled the blood on the floor, then sheathed the blade and wore his mask.
He made a hand seal, and Sakumo's body dropped.
"Don't worry, I'll still take these to Obito." He said as he picked the documents from the floor.
"Hm? Blood?"
Hasai frowned and set the documents on fire using fire release.
"Nevermind…"
Hasai walked out of Sakumo's office.
As Hasai walked out, Sakumo gathered enough strength to move his hands and take his chakra blade.
Once he got his chakra blade, Sakumo infused fire release into it and held the fire close to his cut.
"Ah!" He covered his mouth and burned the wound.
'If what Ryuu says is true, I'll fully recover soon.'
Sakumo infused his chakra into his blade and ran out of his office.
'For now, it's time to find and kill this bastard!'
