Chapter 51: Disobedience and Risks.
Sakumo was already bleeding out on the floor, he was on his last breaths before Ryuu came back.
"No! It's not too late! If I can stop this bleeding first, I can save him." He provided Sakumo with his flames, his wound closed up instantly.
"Good, at least now he's not losing blood, but he's still dying because he stabbed his heart directly, at this point I doubt even Tsunade can heal him.
I have no other options I need to use that technique I've been working on with Tsunade and Orochimaru-sama, but I'll need dad's permission, it's quite a painful procedure."
Ryuu teleported and grabbed Inoichi, he was with Shikaku and Choza at a barbecue restaurant.
"Ryuu? What are-"
"There's no time to explain this, but I need you to link me to him." He pointed at Sakumo.
"What happened? What do you need me for?"
"As I said, there's no time to explain. Just do it he could die if we waste any time."
Inoichi nodded.
He linked Ryuu to Sakumo's consciousness.
"Dad, I need you to allow me to use this technique, it's not finished, but if it works, I could save your life," I said.
"Ryuu? What are you doing here?"
He asked.
"As I said, I'm here to save your life, don't die yet, the village still needs you Kakashi needs you and I need you, if you die here, like this, I'll never be able to forgive myself for not being able to protect you like you protected Kakashi and me."
"I'm sorry my son, but there's no place for me anymore, no one needs the White fang."
Tears came out of my eyes.
"No, I'm the one who should be sorry because I'll just have to disobey you this one time. I came here seeking your approval because, to be honest, this treatment will be painful, but at least I'll get to see you live."
Ryuu said calmly.
"Thanks, Inoichi."
I said as I teleported him back.
"Dad, I'm sorry for this, but this time I won't stand back as my family is dying."
He said to himself as he entered Phoenix Flame mode, this time his whole body was burning in red flames. Each step he took left a burnt mark on the floor.
"Well, however painful the treatment will be, I'll suffer nearly tenfold after I'm done."
Ryuu grabbed Sakumo and teleported into Orochimaru's lab.
"Ryuu-Kun, what are you doing here?"
He asked. It seemed he was in the middle of an experiment.
"Sorry Orochimaru-sama, I have to save my dad, he tried to kill himself, it's almost too late to save him if it were normal treatment he will die but not if we use that technique."
Orochimaru's eyes widened.
"You're going to take a risk like this? Are you sure there is no other way?"
He asked and I nodded.
"If I don't try, I'll lose him forever, will you help me?" He nodded.
"For this to work, I need my blood to go smoothly into his body."
Ryuu took a syringe and inserted his blood into Sakumo's veins, too much would have consequences we don't know about.
He clapped his hands together and transferred all his Phoenix Flame energy into the palm of his hands, it first turned into a dark orange color, then dark red, blue flames appeared, and finally dark green flames appeared.
I had never done this on someone, so I have to use a lot more.
"This won't take long, but it will be painful."
I placed my hand on his chest and head directing these flames into his body, through Tsunade's teaching me about medical ninjutsu, she tried to make me learn to heal people by rebuilding their bodies using Phoenix Flame like mine but through medical ninjutsu but the problem is; it takes too long to transfer whatever healing power I have.
Because of how my flame works.
I used to think I was invulnerable in Phoenix Flame but after learning with Tsunade and experiments with Orochimaru-sama; I learned that while I'm in this state, my flames are always burning me, but somehow my blood and the flames fuse and create a substance that heals me so fast I can't feel it and burns anything that tries to harm me.
But it had a limit and If I was to use them too much, I'd end up burning myself and making myself disabled because it ran out and even with Tsunade's treatment it would take a week before I heal properly and 2 weeks before I can move without feeling pain.
So we tried applying the same thing to animals before humans, Orochimaru-sama would often joke about wishing he could use humans for an experiment, or at least we thought he was joking, you can't tell the difference with him, either way, Tsunade and I would laugh but she got kicked out of his lab because of entering when she was drunk.
Anyway,
initially, every time we gave an animal it would die by burning because of too little or I'd kill it because the healing was too slow and it couldn't bear the pain, but after a few tests and failed experiments, it would regenerate and after failing so many times I could finally heal an animal and now this is something incredibly different, a real test is beginning, trying it on a man.
Ryuu's flames traveled into Sakumo's heart, his body was heating, even though he was nearly dead, he could still feel the pain and if he doesn't heal soon, he'll die.
"It's not enough!" Ryuu increased his flames, they surrounded him and Sakumo he kept the damages to a minimum because he didn't want to destroy Orochimaru's lab.
I could feel his healing, his chakra was restoring, and he was looking better, that couldn't be said about Ryuu, he was burning up and his skin was peeling off and he started feeling nauseous.
"Ryuu-Kun, that's enough!" Orochimaru said.
"Wait, I can still do some more I just need…" Ryuu fainted just before he could do anything.
Orochimaru went to check on Ryuu, he tried lifting him but got burned.
"He has gone too far again, no, even further than he ever did."
"Aargh ugh," Orochimaru looked up to see Sakumo waking up.
"I have to get him to a hospital, if he pushes himself too much he'll just collapse again, Ryuu-Kun may have not healed him properly, but he healed him enough to live."
Orochimaru took him to the hospital, then he came back to his lab, the whole place was smoking and boiling, luckily he had kept nothing flammable or explosive in there, otherwise, it could've easily been destroyed the place.
1 week later…
Ryuu woke up to a bright light shining and blocking his eyesight.
"Where am I? What's going on? I can't move." He said as he tried to look around his vision was blurred.
"Ryuu! You're awake!" He heard a voice on the side of his bed.
"Kakashi?" He left the room.
"Where are you, Kakashi? Is dad alive?"
He asked.
He felt dizzy and couldn't make sense of anything going on
"Ryuu, you're awake!"
Many people surrounded me, I couldn't see properly, everything is blurry and I can't move.
"Where am I? He asked again.
"Calm down, you're in the hospital, Orochimaru-sama brought you here."
As Kakashi said, many people entered the room.
"You all came to see me?"
"Yeah, but Kakashi stayed here for the longest time, although he would also check on Sakumo-sama."
Obito responded.
"How's dad?" Ryuu asked.
"I don't know, maybe you should ask him yourself, although I don't think he wants to talk to anyone, Lady Tsunade treated the rest of his wounds but he hasn't been the same since all of it happened, he hasn't said a word since he woke up neither has he been eating." He said in a low tone.
Ryuu tried getting up, but anytime he moved even a finger, he would feel a jolt of pain.
"Are you ok?" Kakashi asked.
"It's like my skin is crumbling and cracking multiple times every time I move, even just a finger feels like hard work and each of my muscle fibers feel like they're burning, and it like I'm constantly breathing in hot smoke, in short, it's very painful."
They all had worried expressions on their face.
"You shouldn't be moving at all you idiot, you almost died, if it weren't for your regeneration, you could be dead right now, don't do that ever again, and count yourself lucky you can still speak."
"Lady Tsunade?" She nodded.
"She came to treat you and your father, none of you were bleeding so she was fine," Rin said.
"All of you, thanks for coming to see me."
Ryuu said as tears started falling.
"So that's how you look when you cry." Obito jokingly said.
"Hmph, they're not tears. It's just my eyes are sweating, you know."
everyone in the entire room laughed at him, he kept on trying to deny but it just made them laugh more.
"How about we go for some Ramen after you heal? I'll pay." Minato suggested, I nodded.
"Alright, I'm sure Ryuu appreciates you all coming to visit him but how about giving him some space to heal, Kakashi you too, you've barely slept since he was here, go home and sleep he'll be back before you know it," Tsunade said.
They all said goodbye and left.
Orochimaru and I discovered something pretty interesting about your father and how you treated him, it seems after treating him, his body and chakra had improved greatly; I know this sounds impossible, but we think not only did you treat his wounds, but you somehow made him a little younger and far stronger, whatever kind of treatment you did must be something special, unfortunately, I think he's mentally unstable.
Oh and Ryuu, I'm glad you're ok but next time don't push yourself to such a limit, if Orochimaru didn't call me to treat you, you would've died, this time the injuries were much more severe and you'll be on a wheelchair for a while be more careful with that power don't abuse it.
She said before closing the door.
2 weeks later Ryuu had been dismissed from the hospital, they put him in a wheelchair, Kakashi pushed him.
After being dismissed from the hospital, the first thing he did was go for some ramen with Minato, Kushina, Kakashi, Jiraiya, Rin, and Obito, Rin had offered to feed him because he couldn't move.
"So, Kakashi, when are you doing your graduation exam?" Ryuu asked.
"It's perfect timing that you've healed today because it's tomorrow, but I also wish dad were there as well."
Ryuu's eyes widened.
"Don't worry about him, even though he won't be there tomorrow, he'll make it up to you later."
He nodded with a smile.
Kushina stomped her way to me, her hair was floating, and she looked pissed, if she hits me I'm done for, she raised her fist then.
"Ryuu! I would punch you right now but you're already in pain so I'll use my words this time only, don't scare me like that again, if you die I'll never forgive myself for letting it happen, and if I find you like this again I'll beat you to a pulp."
"Man, she's really scary, I genuinely believe if there's anyone who could kill a dead person it would be her," He said to himself.
After dinner we went back home, I couldn't use ninjutsu so Kakashi had to push me back.
"Man, this is so embarrassing."
I said as he pushed me.
"Yeah, how long till you heal?"
"I'm not sure just yet, this time my wounds are pretty bad, so I guess sometime this week."
"That's a pretty long time, I hope I'm just pushing you, that's all." I nodded.
Kakashi escorted me to my room.
"Umm, Kakashi… could you help me out here?"
The room was silent and awkward.
"Sigh, but don't tell anyone, and don't ask me to help you go to the toilet or the shower!"
Ryuu chuckled nervously because he didn't know if he would actually need his help.
After basically tucking Ryuu in, Kakashi was leaving the room.
"Oh and Ryuu, thanks for saving dad." He said before closing the door.
