Chapter 195: Into the Void and Beyond

Leo thought shadow travel was the worst kind of travel he'd ever experienced. But it turns out that sliding into one realm from another was infinitely more stomach-churning.

He would later explain it in very vivid detail to McCloud who'd never undergone it before as, in Max's own words, McCloud was too pu**y to get judged by the judges. 

"There's this moment when you step into the portal and suddenly feel like you've walked into the void. You're free-falling sideways and you've left your stomach trailing behind you while your brain is moving forward at lightspeed," Leo explained to McCloud at a time after they'd returned from their trip. 

"Sounds rough," McCloud agreed. "And now you see why I and my clan prefer to stay here in the Abyssal Plains…"
