Chapter 22: Requirements

There are certainly various types of games in his mind that can be made. These games could be popular and also not easy to make in VR platform.

He has three games in his mind which he would make now:

Among Us

Fall Guys

Roblox

Among these, he would definitely make Roblox as it's one of its kind, and with Roblox, he would be way ahead of others in this type of game, and the risk of being overthrown is also lower.

And for Fall Guys, although it can be made in VR, the experience is not as good in VR. And it would be a mess. Though mess is acceptable in Fall Guys, you have to control that mess, which is not easy.

If one could create the VR version of Fall Guys with better planning and optimization, then that would be dope. But it is not that easy to make Fall Guys in VR, and even if one could make it because the mechanics and game copyrights would be in his hands, it would be troublesome for others to make the game in VR.

And if they make it, it is not sure if they could make the game profitable and better than his, so why would anyone make the game despite so many risks.

And lastly, Among Us. This game basically doesn't have any risk of being copied because although there could be many hide-and-seek genre of games, the innovating ideas and new game aspects Among Us brings are not easy to copy without facing copyright issues.

So, he can make this game without any burden and risk.

But the thing is he wants to make the VR game. So he decided to ask the twins about the requirements to have the VR game accessibility.

As he went downstairs to his office, he saw the twins working.

"Good morning." He greeted.

Tina and Melina replied, "Good morning, Leo."

He asked, "Do you know what the requirements are to make VR games?"

"I know," answered Melina, "Though one has to make popular games and have enough followers and influence."

Tina interjected, "Sister, did you forget Leo's situation? He won't have any problem regarding followers, influence, and game popularity; so you can directly state the requirements."

Melina smiled and said, "Oh, sorry, I simply forgot. Because you've only been in this industry for about a month, I overlooked your situation."

Leo chuckled, "Hehe, no problem. I am still new in this industry and don't know many things, so you still have to guide me in the process."

Melina nodded, "Basically, there are a few requirements for making VR games. First, as I said, the game's success and your influence should be enough. And aside from that, there are a few more requirements."

"First, one has to create five successful games, whether on PC or mobile, though it would be preferable if two are PC games. Then, the game you have made should be innovative.

"The Game Union Association will evaluate your level and influence. It takes about one to two weeks for the data to be finalized.

"You have to have a registered company, which you haven't done until now. The Game Union Association will evaluate your level into groups like an A-level developer or B-level developer. The lowest requirement is A-level developer.

"So you have to pass that assessment and get the evaluation of A to pass.

"And after you've passed, they will give you the developer identification card, which will be like your identity card but instead of other information, it only records your developer level.

"One also has to make a solo game, which means one had to make a successful game without any help from start to finish. Also, one has to make a team game, which you have completed both.

"One had to be accepted into the community, which you already have by visiting the functions. That was the benefit of visiting the developer convention.

"You have to show your future plans or games, even if only pictures and your idea. The two game ideas should be enough. The VR game is not necessary. You can give mobile or PC game ideas also. They are only evaluating your planning for the future.

"Though there are still many major or minor requirements, you should have completed them."

Melisa concluded her talk and said, "So basically, you have fulfilled most of the requirements, and you can give notice to the association for the evaluation after completing two more successful games."

Leo said subconsciously, "That's it?"

"Yes, that's it," she nodded.

He murmured, "It's quite simple. I thought it would be hard."

She rolled her eyes. "You say that. Don't forget you are an abnormality. The requirements you found easy are a nightmare for other aspiring developers, so it isn't easy. It's just easy for you."

He nodded. That's true because of his cheat, success came too easily for him, but the same couldn't be said for others. There are many developers who couldn't fulfill these requirements.

Leo asked excitedly, "So I just had to make two more games and I would be able to make VR games?"

She added, "Not just games, but successful games."

"Haha, it's the same for me," he laughed.
