Chapter 57: Chapter 23 - Gabriella (1)

It's the 14th of February and nearly a week since Mariano promised to have breakfast with me every morning.

We're…civil, at least. Our conversations are very limited. Although he started asking me what I will do for the day after eating our breakfast, which isn't very interesting, really, given I just stay at home all day. 

A couple of days ago, he asked how my painting went and I'm surprised he found out what I was trying to do on Monday. There are no cameras inside the house—not that I know of. Needless to say, that session was a bust. After staring at it for over an hour, I ended up with a blank canvas. So I gave up and put everything away.

I did, however, take some photos of the tree branches covered with ice from the window because they looked beautiful. I don't think I'd be able to paint one like it, but they'll look amazing in my screensaver. Anyway, I told Mariano I wasn't able to paint. He nodded and didn't say anything else after that.
