Dominic walked to the room where Glenn and a man nicknamed T-Dog were trying to repair the radio, so he asked, "Is it fixable?"
"Yes, it is. I'm just changing some parts that got burned out, and everything will be in perfect condition." Glenn was an expert at fixing radios; he used to have many and took care of their proper maintenance to make them last longer.
Although the situation was urgent, it was calm. Dominic didn't want to overwhelm these people, so he waited patiently.
Many days had passed since he left the base, and as he understood, if he didn't appear soon, the leadership of the base would fall into the hands of Daniel, whom Dominic greatly trusted. This man, trained by the CIA, could carry out all the plans Dominic had for the common good.
But the important reason he wanted to return was that he needed to accelerate things even further. His plans were set to continue for another year, but after that, they needed to be updated.
While he was thinking about all this, Glenn, who was closing the radio, turned it on again, and it started without any problems.
"It's on."
T-Dog approached and said, "Oh my God, you did it, buddy."
Dominic took the radio and, placing it on its station, spoke: "Tower Zero here, Charlie One, communicating after a long time, and I need answers."
"Zz..."
"I need answers now; speak, Charlie One."
Glenn's smile faded when he heard no response; his expression filled with a sense of helplessness, and he leaned back in his chair, processing the disappointment.
But at that moment, when all hope seemed lost, a voice came from the radio in Dominic's hand. "Tower One in control; notify your location for immediate extraction."
"Negative, send armed drones for the elimination of a hostile and dangerous community." Dominic was referring to the shelter where the governor was located; he didn't want to leave any loose ends before leaving.
"Zz... Copied, should we also send the Wolves team?"
"Just one squadron; they will extract me and over twenty people."
"Zz... The nearest base is on the move; it will take a few hours to arrive, and the drones will be there in thirty minutes."
Glenn remained silent; his smile vanished, and a chill ran down his spine.
"Hey, man, who are those drones for?"
Dominic turned his head and said, "For our enemies, I won't let them live before we leave this place."
When Dominic left, he called Alicia, who was glad that communication was restored, and said, "Do you want me to go with you?"
"I'll handle it alone," Dominic said, refusing to involve Alicia in his genocidal actions.
When he explained everything to Rick's group, many didn't say anything, but Daryl decided to follow them because he would take care of his brother to prevent him from doing anything stupid.
Rick wanted to go but had to take care of the rest of the group, so he stayed.
When Dominic left, Lori, who was among the group, asked, "Are they going to kill people?"
"Enemies, no one enjoys any of this, Lori..." Rick had a severe headache because he didn't know if he was on the right path.
"Then, what will they do to us?"
Alicia, who heard this, said, "Save you, of course. Anyone who doesn't want to follow us can stay at their own risk."
These words from Alicia translate to elimination due to compromised information. That was exactly what they did with people who refused to join them after getting to know them.
