"How's the front line?" Dominic was slumped in the back seat of the Humvee, barely able to lift his head to see what was happening. Additionally, the smoke curtains and darkness made it difficult for him to see.
"The walkers are decreasing; the bomber planes have wiped out eighty percent of their ranks, so in less time than we expect, we'll finish them all off."
Negan looked at Dominic's condition and asked, "Are you sure you're okay?"
"I have no problem; I'm fine." Dominic was still dazed by the explosion that had almost hit him directly.
Merle had realized that Dominic had been the target of an assassination attempt when Negan mentioned that something was wrong. This gave him a clear idea that Dominic needed help, which is why they were there.
"I'll leave the rest to you." Dominic just wanted to rest now.
"Here, smoke this; it'll surely relax you." Merle handed him a custom-made cigarette, which Dominic accepted, knowing it was a drug, but right now anything that would calm him was welcome.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
The walkers had been stopped much more effectively than they had thought; in just one hour, they had wiped out most of the walkers, but just to be sure, a massive explosion wiped out any trace of life beyond the border.
Boom!
The explosion left the entire battlefield silent, which soon after began to celebrate their victory. In this battle, they had easily eliminated more than a million walkers, a number that would later be considered small.
...
Forward Base, Detroit.
At that moment, two Mil MI-26 helicopters, known as Halo helicopters, were carrying a submarine to a specially designated place for its maintenance and use. During all this time, a perfect site for its maintenance was being built in a special location until they could seize a port by force.
The Mil MI-26 helicopters have the capacity to carry 56,000 KG each, which would total 56 tons, and over a hundred tons in joint work between the two helicopters.
Dominic wanted to have considerable power in the lake to stop the walkers much more easily.
"How are you feeling?"
"They tried to kill me. Considering that, I think I'm fine," Dominic said while reading a book. Nick had arrived with a bag containing some other books and sat down next to him.
"It seems you handled things well. Anything to report?"
"We've found the other spies who were here to kill you; all of them were sent by the CRM." Nick had been present during the interrogation.
Dominic nodded. He wouldn't start a war over this, but he would advance more quickly to bring the CRM under his command.
