Author's Note: WATCHING YOUR OWN KIDS IS NOT BABYSITTING. IT'S PARENTING!
Jack looked at the army of children in front of him and felt very vexed. He had only agreed to watch 2 children but he somehow ended up becoming the supervisor for a sleepover of teenage girls, babysitter for 3 infants, childsitter (as she liked to call it) for 1 child, dad watching his own kids for 2 children, and pet sitter for 4 pets.
Jack picked up Clint's daughter Susie first but when he arrived, he was also given Clint's dog Lucky to watch over. Clint said the dog was going through some medical issues he needed someone to watch over the dog.
Not wanting to be responsible for a sick dog not being able to get the care that he needed, Jack agreed to watch the dog as well since there was not much extra work.
Luckily when Jack picked up Nadia from Janet, there were no surprises. The duo quickly exchanged greetings and a quick hug before Jack teleported back to the island.
But to his surprise, the Cuckoos and Laura wanted to spend time with Nadia and suggested a sleepover.
'My daughters are so considerate,' Jack thought as he looked over the others, not knowing he was sinking deeper into their plot. Because as soon as he finished his thoughts, Phoebe said
"But you can't just ditch us, Dad. We want to try your famous recipes that Mum is always talking about."
Jack agreed and went into the kitchen to start cooking for the kids when a green portal opened beside him.
The man was weary at first but when he sensed who was on the other side, he let his guard down, slightly. With Loki, one could never be too safe.
Loki walked through the portal with bear cub in her arms, surprising Jack.
"Hello there, Jack. I heard that you were offering services where you sit upon children," Loki held up the cub as she spoke. "This is my newborn, Bjorn. Isn't he so cute?"
Jack looked between the bear cub and Loki several times with a stupefied expression on his face. He really wanted to ask who the father was but he was afraid of the answer.
"I'm not even going to ask any questions and just agree," Jack took Bjorn from Loki, getting scratched by the bear which surprisingly drew blood. "Alright. This cub I'd at least magical cause a normal bear shouldn't be able to do that to me."
"Of course. He's my son afterall," Loki responded like a mother filled with pride.
The entire situation was too weird, even for Jack's unique life so he just agreed with Loki and reminded the goddess to come get Bjorn in the morning.
When the Bifrost appeared above Loki and took him away, Jack looked at the scorch mark on the ground and just felt annoyed.
'Who the hell told Loki I was sitting tonight?' Jack asked no one in particular thinking he must have just heard about it from Thor who heard about it from Clint.
Jack put Bjorn on the ground while he cooked the food, making sure to get out some fish to cook for Bjorn as well. Once all the dishes were done, he walked into the living room but was surprised to see 3 additional kids waiting for him.
May Parker was sitting in her stroller with a bag full of supplies attached to it while Jessica Jones and Deadpool were standing there with their kids as well.
"You guys need sitters too? And MJ just dropped her daughter off, not even saying anything?" Jack couldn't believe that it was all a coincidence now. 3 people needing sitters at once? That was possible. But 6 parents all needed sitters? Jack would be a fool if he didn't suspect someone was setting him up.
"There's a party going on that me and Luke are attending? You don't mind watching Daniel, right?" Jessica asked while passing Jack her baby and the baby bag. "I promise, I'll be back to pick her up at..." Jessica didn't finish as she ran out the door. She wasn't one for pranks but she could use a date night with Luke.
Jack turned his gaze to Deadpool and his daughter.
"Don't tell me that you don't know what's going on," Jack questioned the Merc with a Mouth. If anyone that was part of this plot was willing to spill the beans, it was Deadpool.
"Of course I do. But the Author hasn't written the chapter where you find out everything yet so I can't tell you until he does and i can see your reaction," Deadpool explained while pushing his daughter forward. "This is Ellie. She's 9, the sweetest girl in the world, and the person I have literally burned down a tree for cause its root tripped her."
Jack decided to ignore the first part of Deadpool's words since he couldn't understand anything the man said. And he had already learned his lesson about trying to read Deadpool's mind. Jack had never done acid, heroin, and mushrooms at the same time but he was pretty sure that trying to read DP's mind was just like that.
"Hello, Ellie. Welcome to my home. I hope you like pizza and french toast," Jack looked at the little girl and flashed her his signature grin
"Hello, Mr. Frost. My dad talks about you all the time and says that you're amazing," the little girl also smiled back at Jack. "I love both. Thank you."
Jack looked between Wade (Deadpool) and Ellie a few times in confusion. Wade caught on and looked (as much as one could with a mask on) offended.
"What? You can't believe someone with my looks could have a daughter that was so cute? Or were you projecting your racism onto me and think that I wouldn't have a black daughter?" Wade fired off one after another, Jack not being able to tell if he was serious or not.
"No. Just surprised that she's sane and polite," Jack admitted
"Oh," Wade relaxed when he heard that and waved his hand. "She gets it from her mother."
Jack shook his head and teleported Wade away since he didn't feel like dealing with the goofy man anymore.
And that was how Jack came to watch over some teenagers, 3 infants, Ellie, his own kids, and 3 pets plus whatever Bjorn counted as
