He whispered to Amalia, "We're in trouble. These two devils are not weak. We might not be their match. I'll hold them off while you escape."

Amalia glanced at him, "You should really lower your voice. It's not very loud, but it's not quiet either. Unless these two devils are deaf, they still can hear you."

He really was taking his acting too far.
