Chapter 125: Scales

"Cherry? Who are you calling a cherry?" Ace asked, indignant but not enough to start shouting, just to look slightly displeased. "You look like a cherry." 

"Your head is red so I just thought that." The creature said, voice low and soft, unlike what the boy expected it to be. "I apologise, did I offend you?" 

"Your highness." General Longbow walked to the boy, standing beside him. "I will be making a quick survey of the area while you talk with the creature." 

"Alright. Be careful. And don't go too far." Ace said as the general bowed and then disappeared. 

I say that as if my level is higher than his … the things a boosted ego will do to you. 

Turning back to the creature in front of him, Ace sighed, running his hands through his hair as it just looked at him, waiting for an answer. 

"Whatever." Ace mumbled, waving his hands in the air. "I want to ask you something." 

"And that is?"
