Chapter 147: Protection

Ace and Ajax stared at each other blankly for a couple of minutes, neither one moving as Ace could just hear the drumming of his heart against his chest. 

Ajax leaned back on the bed and took an apple from the bowl of fruits Ace completely missed, resting comfortably on top of a cupboard. 

He pulled out a pocket knife and began peeling the apple, behaving as though he could not hear a word Ace just said. 

"Uh ... Luna. I don't know what to do." Ace mumbled to himself, looking at Ajax, still feeling quite tensed but the boy looks quite calm. 

[Apologies. I am busy at the moment. Please call for me later.] 

"Aw phoo." Ace mumbled, clearing his throat before walking to Ajax who looked up at him and patted the seat beside him. 

"Come sit, Ace." 

"Uh. Ajax. Didn't you hear my question?" He asked, waving his hands around more than he needed to. "I asked if you were the one that attacked River and Vaha."
