Chapter 48: Preparations

Ace gasped, looking around him in a panic and then touching his face and body.

He was in his room as sunlight flooded into the room and he could hear the animals in the distance.

"I- I am alive," he said, breathing in and out uncontrollably. "Wait, Ajax!"

He jumped out of his bed and ran out of the room in his pyjamas as quickly as he could, only stopping when he reached Ajax's room.

Taking a deep breath, he pushed it open, shouting, "Ajax!"

He paused when he saw the boy he brought back standing in front of the mirror, trying on a dress shirt while there was a butler holding a pile of clothes in his arms.

Ajax stood behind the boy, looking at him and nodding approvingly.

They all turned to look at Ace as soon as he burst in.

"Ace!" Ajax's face lit up instantly, rushing to his brother. "Good morning."

"To you too," he said, returning his hug. "Uh, what is happening here?"
