"Ace. Ace!" He heard a voice calling out to him in the darkness but he couldn't move his body no matter how hard he tried to.

Who-? 

"Don't speak." The voice was in his ear now, almost like some kind of melody he knew of.

Not like I can if we are being serious here. He thought, still trying to move. What is happening here?

"Listen to me very carefully." The voice said, still in his ears. 

Not like I have another choice. 

"I know what you are trying to do and I am so, so, so grateful to you for everything." The voice said, breaking slightly. "But I have a warning for you."

"Be careful."

"I mean in terms of how you use your magic." The voice continued, as if it could hear him. "As your body is not ... permanent, you can overstrain it and ... well, you will disappear."
