Chapter 48: CHAPTER 48

As she fell to the ground, she hit the wrong side, which caused a few complications in her pregnancy. On reaching the hospital, she was taken to the emergency room. Greg was sitting down in the reception panicking, and waiting for the doctor's report. After the doctor examined her, he confirmed that the pregnancy she was carrying was twins, but unfortunately, she lost one of the babies as a result of the home accident.

"Excuse me, doctor, how's my fiance? I hope she's fine. Can I go and see her now?" With uneasiness in him, Greg began to stammer as he was asking the doctor.

Pausing and taking a deep breath, the doctor replied to him, "The mother and one of the babies are fine, but I'm sorry. We tried all we could, but unfortunately, we couldn't save both the babies. I'm sorry, sir."

Greg was completely lost, as he didn't know about any pregnancy.
