Two hours later they were checked into a nice hotel. Jared had ordered a room service meal for them that should be arriving anytime along with some basic toiletries. Cora was standing on the balcony staring at the unobstructed view of the Eiffel Tower.
Cora couldn't believe she was in Paris. She had wanted to see Paris her entire life, but she had never pictured being on the run when she came here. Cora had no clue what she was running from. She had trusted Jared despite her misgivings but now she needed him to tell her what was going on.
A few minutes later the food and toiletries arrived. Cora grabbed part of the toiletries and dug around in her carry-on until she had a suitable change of clothes and walked into the bathroom to shower and change after their long flight. Twenty minutes later she emerged feeling less disgusting and more comfortable. She was surprised that she had managed to grab clothes that fit during their mad dash through the department store.
