Two days later, Heisuke found that Yoichi had a day off on Saturday. He immediately asked the latter if they could swap it.
They were having a lunch break when Heisuke brought up the subject.
Because Heisuke, Yoichi and Tadao brought their own lunch boxes, they chose to eat at a spot outside the warehouse. They sat under a shady tree, enjoying the cool air. The others went to the nearby eateries.
Fortunately, it was the morning shift, which meant that Heisuke could go home with Hisaki once they clocked out.
"Oh, you've never asked for such a thing before," Yoichi was interested in Heisuke's request, "Do you have anything important that day?"
"Err..."
Heisuke was unsure whether to come clean or not. After all, it was not like he had an important matter like going to the bank or any government office. His next hospital appointment also was scheduled for the end of next week.
But, it was better to tell Yoichi directly, right?
There's a reason why Heisuke has the same scar although what happened to him was different than in their previous life. But, I'm not sure how should I explain it, whether by writing a separate chapter (that I find unnecessary) or just explaining it in the comments. What do you guys think?
