There are many such intricate things that came with adapting technology from the dungeons. People expected magical engineering to go crazy about twenty years ago. However, they soon realized, the engineering processes are long. While it's easy to make simple items such as fans, lighters and fake wands, when it comes to the true starting point of technology, the steam engines and precise engineering, they can not help but falter. 

The first problem was that there were no standards of measurement. The countries, guilds and even ranked hunters did not agree on standards, citing this reason or at making it more profitable for the other party. Amidst such fuss, innovation was easy, industrialization was impossible. Even more so, in times where a magnum car has already been prototyped, no one was willing to re-invent the old technology.
