It kind of sounds similar to being turned out," she laughed softly, placing her other hand on his upper arm. The closer he got, the more her worries melted away. He had talked sense into her. His love for her was far stronger than the disregard that her parents had for her. She had to choose where to focus her energy at, and she didn't want to waste one more molecule on them when Liam was worth it all.
Liam blushed a little as he shook his head at her. Then, he stopped and glanced over at her, his smile turning slightly sly.
"You're not wrong. It feels like I'm on fire when I'm around you," he told her as he moved his hand up to lightly tuck a strand of her hair behind her ear. His eyes clashed with hers, a tense moment being shared between them.
