Chapter 63: Root of Her Insecurity

Marcella sensed Tony stepping into the cabin and everyone's attention turned toward him. Marcella saw Paul wiping the perspiration off his face. Aiden scoffed at her and Rudolf was stunned to see her.

"Hi there, Aiden," Marcella smiled.

Aiden gritted his teeth but minding the other two men in the room, he managed to control his anger and his mouth. He wouldn't want to speak first when there are more powerful men than him in the room.

What did I even see in him in the past? I was besotted with him and his revolutionary speeches! He looked like someone with ambition.

Marcella sighed. People change. The revolutionary hero turned out to be a control freak who became a run-in-the-mill politician who likes to save his own skin rather than doing good.

At least he has the guts to do something like this in secret… Maybe she should appreciate him for his courage.

"Rudolf…" she sang to the tune of the popular Christmas song. "We met a year or two ago~"
