Although Caroline was sleeping soundly, she could tell that Eddison was next to her.
That night, the baby didn't wake her up but her biological clock did. She woke up several times only to see Eddison carrying the baby out of the room to feed him.
As she insisted on breastfeeding, she would pump and store some of her milk just in case.
It was almost half past four when she heard the baby crying again for milk. Eddison got up before she did and was about to bring the baby out so that he wouldn't disrupt her sleep.
She reached out and grabbed his bathrobe. "Let me handle it. My body is accustomed to feeding him. It hurts to not feed him."
Eddison was startled. It was obvious he was still clueless about this. He handed the baby to her as she lifted her dress up for the baby.
This was the first time that he saw her breastfeeding. He felt strange to have the baby occupying the spot that belonged to him, and had a strange urge to push the kid away.
