Before Caroline could react, Eddison flew off the handle as he kicked one of the chairs aside.
They could all hear the loud sound of the chair crashing to the ground. Caroline looked at him in a daze. This was the second time she saw him being violent.
Both Beryl and Frank trembled as they lowered their heads.
"Whose order should you follow under this roof? Am I the one paying you, or my parents?" Eddison pulled on his tie in frustration.
"I... I'm sorry, sir. I... I'll arrange for someone to prepare dinner right away!" Beryl said as she trembled. Even though Eddison had always been cold and distant which made others afraid to approach him, he had never lost his temper like this before!
On the other hand, Eddison said coldly, "There's no need for that! My wife will be starving by the time dinner is ready. Tell them that they can have me over for dinner but I'll bring my wife along. Otherwise, I won't even consider going!"
