The man nodded politely to Karen and said, "Miss, thank you for bringing us here, we appreciate your help. We would prefer to hand these to Madam Caroline in person."

Without waiting for Karen to respond, he had already dialed Caroline's number.

"Wait! Didn't you agree to leave the gifts here? She... Our director is preparing for a meeting!" Karen blurted out anxiously. With all of her colleagues present, she had to address Caroline with her job title despite her personal feelings.

Everyone paused as they glanced over at her.

Meanwhile, the phone call was already connected. Puzzled, Caroline found it strange that there were gifts for her.

However, associating this with Haward's text messages earlier and Wendy's actions, Caroline decided to stay put for a while.
