Eddison tore apart the wrapper of the lollipop. After a lick, he simply wrapped it back.
With the candy and letter in hand, he headed upstairs and placed them together with the bricks from the previous night.
He stared at them for a long time before he shut his closet.
As dinnertime arrived, Caroline headed downstairs. Like what Eddison expected, she didn't throw a tantrum, although she looked a little off.
Later that night, Eddison changed into his pajamas after taking a shower and knocked on her door.
Caroline opened the door with a tired expression. Smoothing over her hair, she asked in a sleepy tone, "What's wrong?"
Eddison gulped. He realized he hadn't found an excuse before knocking on her door.
As their eyes met, his heart skipped a beat. Before he could think any further, he blurted out, "Honey, I want to sleep with you tonight."
Caroline was startled a little. She didn't expect him to say something like this.
