After a short while, Eddison let go of her. He stroked her cheek and said, "I'll let you go for today. Honey, are you unhappy because of my parents?"
"I'm fine." Caroline denied. Although she was indeed hesitant as she was reminded of his parents.
She realized that she had to face them again once she returned home. Although they were mostly silent, she still felt like an outsider. She felt like her presence was an annoyance to them.
She adapted to the situation from the night before, but now that she just got off work, she felt pressured at the thought of readjusting herself again upon arriving back at home.
Caroline was silent for a couple of seconds, before she looked up and her eyes met Eddison's passionate yet tender gaze. Her heart trembled.
"Devil Eddi, it's normal for pregnant women to be sensitive. Don't mind me. I'll adjust my mood myself," Caroline said.
