Caroline was taken aback. She stared at him before looking at the cup she was holding.

"I adjusted the water temperature so that it will be the perfect temperature for you. It's neither too cold nor too hot," Caroline explained.

However, after hearing her words, Erastus turned around and left.

Caroline was dumbfounded!

She instinctively reached out a hand to grab his arm as she said, "You should drink this. Otherwise, you'll catch a cold."

Perhaps Erastus was too thin, or perhaps he was caught off guard, as Caroline easily grabbed hold of him, and she turned him around to face her.

Zorion and Vanessa were watching them from the couch in the living room. None of them said anything.

D*mn! Caroline cursed in her heart. Eddison sent her to Erastus so that she could get closer to him, but it seemed like she had ruined things for good!
