In Karen's opinion, whoever was able to sit in her office meant that their position was slightly above everyone else in the company. Because of that, she was not willing to give it up!
Calvin looked at Karen in surprise. It was as if he did not understand why she would ask such a question.
"Caroline is the department director. Your position is lower than hers. Of course she'll be taking over the office," Calvin stated matter-of-factly.
A trace of hatred flashed through Karen's eyes, but it disappeared just as quickly.
