Chapter 2: Chapter 1
It is the day you are moving to ponty pandy with your 3 year old son Reece. You are currently sat on the sofa with Daniel as Reece plays with his toys as you waited for the moving truck to come back to get the rest of your things.
"You sure that everything will be okay?" Daniel Asked worried hoping that you have made the right choice.
"Daniel, I promise that I'll be fine and if anything does happen I'll let you know" you said helping your overprotective brother call down as you watched tv and Reece at the same time.
"So..... you hoping to fine any love in ponty pandy?" Daniel said again as you looked at him shocked that he would said something like that.
"D-Daniel that is my business and no I just want to live happily with my son even if I do fall in love with someone there" you said as Knick was heard in your door so you got up to answer it seeing that it was the moving people who have arrived to collect the last bit of your stuff to your house.
7 hours later!
You are now at your new house putting your things away with Daniel since he volunteered to help you before heading back to work later today.
"That's the last of the heavy things, I'll be heading back to work let me know when you need me" Daniel said as he left your house.
It took you 3 more hours to finish the last amount of your stuff out of the moving boxes and into their rightful places in your house.
"Reece, nap time" you said as you picked up your son taking him upstairs into his room to put him into bed since it was getting a bit dark.
As you closed his door a knock was heard at your front door so you headed back downstairs to answer the door. You open the door to see a female with short blonde hair in firefighting uniform she seemed nice.
"Hello?" You said as she looked you in the eyes.
"Oh, hi I am penny I'm from the fire station and station officer steel wanted me to come round and meet you and get to know you before you come to the station in 3 days" she said as you allowed her inside as she went to sit on your sofa.
"Would you like some tea?" You nicely asked as she kindly accepted the offer.
"2 sugar please" she replied as you turned on the kettle in the kitchen waiting for it to finish boiling.
"So, what's your name?" Penny asked you as you looked at the sofa she sat on but she was faced away from you watching tv.
"Dianna miracles, my son is asleep upstairs just letting you know" you replied nicely as the kettle finished letting you make the cup of tea for penny as you got orange juice since you already had a cup of tea earlier.
"Oh, I wasn't told that you had a child" penny said shocked as you brought her the cup of tea you offered as she got it thanking you.
"Yeah, he's 3 years old and means everything to me" you said as little footsteps were heard running around upstairs.
"Looks like the little buggar doesn't want to sleep" penny said with laugh as you put your cup onto the table in front of you.
"Hope you don't mind Reece coming down do you penny?" You said as she smiled at you.
"I don't mind" she said as you went upstairs to get Reece. As you opened his door you saw the little rascal playing with his toys in the dark.
"Reece?" You said as he looked at you like he could see I'm the darl as he got up and ran to you.
"Mama! Mama!" He said as you picked him up taking him downstairs with you to meet penny and to tire him out.
As you got down the stairs and into the living room catching penny's attention as she saw Reece.
"Omg! He's so adorable" she said seeing Reece as her face began to seem like she knew something. "He looks like Sam" she quietly said as you grew confused on the guy 'sam' she mentioned.
"Who?" You asked not wanting to be rude as she adored your son.
"Oh you'll see him tomorrow since he wants to know you more too before you start work and I think everyone will fall in love with little Reece" she said as Reece looked at her confused in like who is the woman and why is she talking to my mama.
"I guess it's better to know people than not at all" you replied as Reece his away shy on your shoulder peaking at her.
"I guess he got his looks from his mum?" Penny said as you looked at Reece then at penny.
"Well he has his fathers eyes" you responded as she 'oh' at you realising it wasn't all your genes.
"What was your last job at your last town?" Penny asked as you sighed.
"A firefighter" you replied as she began to think. "My father used to be a firefighter when I was young so I wanted to be one too helping others" you said again as she looked speakless that this was a family tradition thing.
"Mama, fire" Reece said as you noticed fire coming down your stairs as you rise up.
"Penny, we need to get out of the house and call the fire department" you said as you looked at the stairs as she quickly got up seeing the smoke as you rushed to the door.
"Quick!" Penny said as you exited the door as she hit her phone out contacting them seeing the smoke coming from the back which was Reece's room.
"Reece? Why is your room on fire there wasn't anything in there that could burn or reach" you said as Reece stayed quiet in your arms as sirens were heard coming close to your house as a big red fire truck pulled in first of you as 3 firefighters came out as penny stayed beside you.
"I guess you'll meet him sooner than I thought" she said as a man in full flame proof uniform came to you and penny.
"Is everyone alright no one hurt?!" He said concerned as he looked at you with the 3 year old in your arms.
"Don't worry we're fine Sam" Penny said as he rushed back to the house as the fire was being sorted inside your house.
"Fire" Reece said as you gently brushed your fingers through his little hair as he laid on your shoulder looking at penny.
"He's such a sweetheart" she said as went close to you as Reece looked at her still feeling trusted near her.
"He gets that off me too" you said as Reece cute giggles at penny as her heart sunk to cuteness as the man that came up to you before came back again.
"Sorry but we couldn't find the source of the fire" Sam said as he looked at penny than at you and your son.
"When I went to bring him downstairs there wasn't any burning I'm his room so I am confused" you said as penny looked at Sam then at you.
"Can he reach anything?" Sam asked as you shook your head no as the three of you grew confused.
"So how did it happen?" Sam said to himself as Reece looked at you.
"Papa" he said as you heart dropped as you held Reece tight.
"He hardly sees his father and only says his name if he was here but the last time I saw him he was in Oxford" you said as Sam frose of that you said cause of Reece.
"So Reece saw his dad" penny said as you looked at Reece as his expression changed.
"What's wrong?" Sam asked as you saw how scared Reece was.
"I can't say" you said not wanting to speak about him since when he comes round all he wants to do is hurt you and not see Reece at all.
"Your life and Reece could be at risk" penny said as you Reece clenched onto your T-shirt showing that he wants you to speak but your afraid.
"How about we head to the station and chat" Sam said knowing how uncomfortable you are at the moment as you sighed agreeing to go with them to the station and chat.
As you got there most of the fire figtera have already done theirs jobs and headed off home as you were taken to their dimming room/kitchen, you sat with Reece in your arms as sam and penny were sat with you (Sam is on your right and penny in Front of you).
"Who is Reece's father and what is his relation with you?" Sam asked as you inhaled and exhaled.
"His father is Kyle Morgan and he is my ex" you said as sam sat shocked.
"What's wrong sam I never saw you this shocked in ever" penny said as he sighed knowing his name.
"Kyle was an old friend of mine and knowing that he is the father would make sense but he would never do something like that would he?" Sam said as you couldn't believe that he knew your ex but only the fake side of him not the monster that hides underneath.
"Mama.... hurt" Reece said upset as you quietly hushed him as sam caught on quick.
"Did he harm you?" He said as you saw how serious he was as penny was left shocked.
"I-I... um, well yeah" you said with a pause and uncomfortable since your ex would hurt you if this was ever told to anyone.
"*sighs* why would he harm someone as nice as you?" Sam said not happy about his at all but you didn't want to say anymore.
"Sam I think it's better if we stop here until anything else happens then the police can deal with it" Penny said as Reece looked at Sam for the first time.
"S-s-sam" he said as you heard Reece say his name which was weirdly calming.
"Wow, he is adorable" Sam said seeing Reece then back at you.
"Thank you" you said back not knowing what else to say to him.
"Mama, hero" Reece said as the thing we had doing was actually calming down the whole situation.
"Your sin is a gift" Sam said with a smile something your brother would do if something good happened.
You went home to clean the mess the fire made which wasn't a lot since the carpet was the only thing that was burned so you rolled it up and threw it out and after you air freshening the room before putting Reece to bed and locking every door and window in your house as you got into bed.
