Chapter 18: Chewed

"Princess." Sicarius said, "How's your training?"

"Weaver!" Princess yelled, "I'm bored! Release that kid let me fight him!"

"Come on!" Slasher formed his hands into a familiar blade, alike the shadow blades Sicarius had fought against, "I want to see his face when he realizes who I am!"

Sicarius within himself observed intently, at that point, he knew who Slasher was. The understanding that they had the capability to switch bodies meant nothing but headaches to Sicarius.

"I don't need to release this kid to fight." Sicarius said as he jumped on the platform and took on a battle stance, "Come at me, Princess."

'I have to teach her a lesson.' Richard thought,

Princess paused for a second, and without any delay, she rushed towards Sicarius. A vile energy erupted on her palms and turned into a sword. With a whooshing sound, the blade sliced through the air toward Sicarius.

Sicarius jumped back but it seemed he had miscalculated the strength in his legs as he jumped all the way out of the platform.

Slasher howled in laughter, "What was that?!"

Sicarius stretched his body and jumped back into the platform, "This child's body is quite the monstrosity, I jumped slightly it took me to the edge."

"Come on then fight!" A man of crimson from the spectators spoke.

Sicarius eyed the crimson man with furrowed brows then his eyes turned to the other spectator, a woman with gray ashen hair, "What are you two doing here?"

Ash, a tall elegant woman wearing a coat that hid most of her physique, and Ares, a bulky mass of muscle with red long hair and scars all over his body.

The woman of nightmares and the man of war. Ash was a woman of status 2 with the ability of the Nightmare zone, useful against large numbers of weak powered, while Ares was status 3, with the ability of Blood Arts on standby in case of high status powered being dispatched.

"It's the princess's request." Ash said, "She wants us to see that she's capable enough to have her restraints released."

"How can we even judge that!?" Ares yelled,

"Indeed, it's difficult to measure her abilities when she's battling against people who are above her in experience and status." Ash explained, "Perhaps it wouldn't be so bad to let that boy fight."

"Yeah!" Princess exclaimed as she waved her sword in the air, "Do it!"

"The only way you're going to fight is with me in control." Sicarius said as he squared up, "I can not risk him having memories of this encounter, it's either you fight me right now or never because once this kid undergoes the procedure I'm sending him back."

"Fine!" Princess said as she charged.

This time Sicarius faced her charge head on. Princess slashed down once again and Sicarius sidestepped, with a twist of his body he kicked Princess in the stomach, sending her flying before Ash catches her in midair.

The momentum of Princess sent the both of them far out the corner of the chamber.

Princess immediately crouched on the ground upon landing and vomited, while Ash remained seated,

"Are you trying to kill our little Princess here?" She said, "Even I was sent flying by that hit."

"See I told you this kid was strong!" Slasher yelled, "Let me have a go!"

"I wanna see that kid fight to his full potential too!" Shouted Ares,

Sicarius ignored the adults and turned his focus to Princess before huffing, "This child is the same age as you, and he doesn't have the resources we have. And yet even with me as unaccustomed I am at controlling his body, you fell to your knees in one hit."

He turned his back and proceeded to walk away with Caretaker following behind him. Princess watched with words in her mouth but her barfing hasn't ceased. She could only watch with defeated eyes.

"Keep training her until she knows nothing but battle, don't hold back." He said as they left the chamber.

'She mustn't grow overconfident.' Richard thought to himself. 'It was a lesson useful for a lifetime, The Princess will be the one to rule over all the children that had been planted with Sin. She must be raised right.'

While the Cult of Sin had plans for her already, Sicarius had his own. The Princess was a weapon, one that would definitely wipe out the humans given the control she has over the future soldiers. The best part was that the soldiers were the humans themselves which means the Sins didn't even need to exist for her to be able to do damage against them.

She would be a useful weapon.

The question was how to pull her to his side. Sicarius had no relation to her nor did he have mind control.

While Sicarius made plans his body had been controlled by Richard to go back to the chamber wherein children were being processed.

"Once I get chained on the platforms I'll be leaving this body," Sicarius said, "I'll trust you to take him back to the hospital."

"Yes Sir," Caretaker said as he watched Sicarius lay down. The cultist chained him down, and Sicarius's eyes stayed shut.

Now, Sicarius was in control. In a second or two cultists will shove an orb down his chest. However, Sicarius knew there were requirements to fully absorb the orb, something in relation to negative emotions.

Sicarius barely had any emotions, there was no doubt he would reject it. Yet he wasn't totally out of options.

A piercing pain erupted from his chest as a cultist pushed onto it. The procedure had begun. Sicarius was no stranger to pain, so unlike the other children, he did not cry out.

Once the orb completely went in his chest he felt it. The disgusting energy tried to plant itself in his soul. Perhaps if he was weak willed and full of negative emotions it would succeed, however, he wasn't.

Sicarius didn't resist much in order for the orb to recoil from his soul and rush outside his system through his vomit. It coursed through his stomach, to his neck, then to his mouth, but it didn't go out. Sicarius simply held it in his mouth.

Sicarius could hear the other children vomiting, and the cultist commanded to take them away.

After a few minutes of remaining motionless, the cultist began to remove his chains. He heard as the other cultist began to carry children.

"Let me handle this child," Caretaker said with his arms scooping up Sicarius.

Sicarius had to make a choice. Hundreds of thousands of children have already been planted with an orb of Sin. If he doesn't do anything about Princess then he might as well die, because once she learns to control all her soldiers then humankind is done for, the Sins will take over the world.

He had nothing to persuade her nor to force her, however, there was one thing in his pocket that could be of use.

Caretaker had already taken them quite far away as Sicarius had felt a familiar dark sinister aura from Caretaker. Sicarius heard a wall change form in front of them and Caretaker's steps emanated wet squishy sounds.

The tongue carpet shivered slightly with each step and Caretaker raised Sicarius higher in his arms as they approached the teeth of the doorway.

A dull wet clang of an item landing on the tongue carpet occurred, and Caretaker turned to look at a vial of a colorless liquid right by the teeth of the doorway.

Sicarius tensed.

Caretaker eyed the vial, a vial of what seemed to be colorless liquid.

"What's this?" he said as he crouched on one leg to inspect the vial with Sicarius still in his arms, and his head ever nearer to the jagged teeth, "It's filled with memory era--"

An eruption of blood from the elderly man's ruptured face ensued. Against the jagged teeth of the doorway, it was like a meal thoroughly chewed.
