Email ( Chapter 1 )

He held his book tightly. It was the type of book he was addicted to, the type of book you can't stop reading. He scanned every page rapidly, his eyes practically vibrating with every line....this was what he was waiting to read...for, so long. " The updated and coming weekly for men's Football goals, by Martin Jones."  A book on strategy, skill, and mental mindset to win any game, NOT Just Football...

            Then he heard it.

His ears perked up like a radar and twitched toward the source of sound. It was his laptop.

The sound was a sharp ping and it was hard to dismiss. He quickly went to his desk in less than a second and logged on. Every key he briefly touched sounding like sand. His face then went pale. His eyes getting more blue and his mouth turned to a grin. He was in quite and utter shock but satisfied all at once. It was hard for him to distinguish.

"Dad!"

His voiced almost sounded like a shriek. His father peered his head around the corner of the wall. "Yes?"

"She emailed me."

He talked to his father without looking at him directly, still facing the computer. He talked with apathy but it was obvious this was important.

"Who's she?"

The father crossed his arms sternly but yet he was smiling, and thus later turned into a smirk.

"She's- never mind. You probably don't remember her."

The son was a bit disappointed. Did his dad really not have known who he was referring to?

"It's Lee. Isn't it?"

The young boy's eyes grew wide. His dad did remember! What was the sake of him asking who she was in the first place? Was this all a test? He calmed down so that his father wouldn't see him surprised and dumbfounded.

He turned around. The chair making a complete one-eighty and creaking.

He sighed. The straight, slicked-back blonde hair now hung over his face.

His father still grinning at all the possible outcomes of his son's intentions with this girl.

"Yes. She. Is Lee. The same girl who would look at you every time you mentioned me about being your son, and also the same girl I was close with years ago. After all this time, she finally emailed me."
