Chapter 20: Matt Salvatore's POV

The welcome party we held tonight for the Gilberts' lost daughter went off without a hitch.

The majority of the guests were growing impatient as they waited for the Gilbert's Lost Daughter to arrive.

For a little period, we began to wonder if she would arrive.

Just as I was about to turn to my dad, I saw my mom on a phone call.

For a second she looked disturbed but later on sighted.

I saw her look in the direction of the left last table and spoke to one of the light technicians.

"Is she already here"? thoughts run through my mind.

Nodding to my dad, she walked to the stage and started with her speech.

When the spotlight moved to the last back table, that was when I saw a lady in red seated with her back facing us.

When she stood up to reveal her face, I was struck by her flawless beauty.

Everyone stared at her in awe as she made her way gracefully to the stage.

Her eyes squinted trying to get used to the bling bright lights.
