EMILY'S POV.

Katie looked like she'd been hit by a ball flying through the air.

She stared at Derella speechlessly, unable to say a word. She had probably never expected to hear something like that.

"I know it's weird, and you never expected this, but I'm sorry. This is who I am, and you're who I like. Actually, I…. I don't want to cause you some inconvenience because I know you don't like me, but I just thought I had to say it out. If I want to be at peace with myself, then you should know I've always been soft for you." Derella said, staring into Katie's face, searching out the unspoken words.

"You. Not Derel?"

"I'm gay. Remember?"

"Oh."

"I know you're flustered, but this is just to get it off my chest. It's been bothering me for a while now, and I really needed to say something." Derella said, placing her hands behind her back, and dealing harshly with her fingers.
