The door latch clicked, and Miss Watson came out of the ward.

Wyatt Wright looked up. "Is she awake?"

"Not yet." Miss Watson gently closed the door, her large eyes skilled at seeking sweetness, "What happened? She was perfectly fine at dinner. How did she suddenly fall ill? Did you take her out for fun?"

"Ran into her by chance on the road."

"By chance, huh."

Miss Watson didn't believe it.

"It's already very late. You should go rest."

Wyatt said, "I'll wait for her IV to finish before I leave."
