Chapter 11: Something Awesome?
(I literally forgot to write Asriel into the last chapter.. So uh let's start with that!)
During the time of rebuilding Asriel was not seen there, but he was elsewhere of course he would help out later though currently he had another interest. Currently he was within the shop of his father right now relaxing by the counter. There wasn't much traction after the event, but some people came in and Asriel would just be there helping out Asgore. Mostly the reason he was here was to spend some time with his father. After helping out several people Asgore would take a seat next to his son with a calm, nice look towards him. "Have I told you how much you've really grown?" "Yeah all the time I'm not a tiny kid anymore." Asgore would shake his head slightly chuckling. "You surely aren't, but that's not quite what I meant. Before you weren't the bravest of them all, you were really all around the place with how you were, but now here you are truly a man not only in stature, but in act. I know what you've done around you've helped a lot of people, I'm glad you're keeping your mother alright too." Asriel would seem rather happy to hear such things from his father especially after a while. "You know you don't have to say all that, but I'm thankful. And I'm glad you've been making well of yourself out here dad it's like the you I knew." They now relaxed pleasantly within each other's presence while everything else was going on.. That would bring them quite the suprise.
(Back to present)
Within the lab there was whirring and the sound of humming as machines ran flippantly around the place, it was the next day since the lab had been found and immediatley the scientists would get to work on figuring out what the substance was that was found within the vial exactly, although from looking at the videos they would know that it was HATE. Many were surprised with this and at the same time worried and curious. Within another room at a breaktime Sans sat in a chair drinking up a bottle of ketchup. "So, dad, you got any idea who could've accumulated this much hate by looking through those pieces of you?" Gaster would have then shook his head from side to side. "It is just like the other thing that I try to look at, when I do it is erased from thought." Sans would seem pretty anxious about this due to him having heard about something of the hate soul before, the power that it held was immense and the hatred it required was even scarier than that. His head would then turn over to Alphys as she quickly shook her head from side to side. "D-don't look at me, I am just as clueless on that matter as you are. Though I suggest what we do first is to make a countermeasure quickly against this hate person, who knows just how strong that they could be now." The others would have nodded their head in agreement. "Firstly we will need the cooperation of the kindness sector of course. Then we may use their energy for further projects, perhaps weapons fueled with kindness energy." Gaster would propose "Yeah, from what knowledge we have the energy that those of the kindness soul have is quite effective against hate." Alphys would respond. "Alright then, ill ask the queen to tell them when I get back." You guys work on those prototypes with everyone else for now then." Sans suddenly disappeared before a word was even able to be said towards him.
Back at the home of the monarchs there would be both Sora and Shiro who had been comforted a lot on the previous day due to the new findings and another dangerous experience which was quite bad for kids as young as them. Though the now alright seeming kids were sitting on a nice carpet within a room and staring up at a board. There was a nice fox lady next to it.. Oh it's Toriel! Toriel stood next to the board and cleared her throat to get their attention that was seemingly drawing as they were in a state of linked daydreaming between them both. "Ahem children, I'm sorry for doing this right after the event, but if you need anything please do tell me, though I must continue to teach you here until the school is rebuilt. I am very sorry. The two kids sitting on the ground right now would nod as they understood and both had relatively recovered. Though Sora was holding onto Shiro comfortably to put them both more at ease. "So today we will be talking about soul sensing and soul links. Well soul sensing is quite self explanatory, the ability to sense souls and without the need for them to be revealed, this could be used to detect someone unless their hiding skills surpass your detection skills, but it is something more than that. Higher level soul sensors like Undyne have been able to find something peculiar, things that resemble a soul within soulless beings." Sora and Shiro both seemed rather confused and raised their hands instantly. "Yes?" "Momma ho-" "Its Ms. Toriel here." "Sorry, Ms. Toriel, what does that mean I don't get it." "Yeah what Shiro said." Toriel would have sighed. "I was just about to tell you now. Very well then let's say for instance this marker here." Toriel picks up a marker and then seemingly just pokes the air, but when she does the marker cracks as she had. This would be even more confusing. "I have learned to look deeper than just the souls of living things as well you see, even things like this have a soul though not in a traditional way." She would then point at Shiro. "Even when your brother was a soulless flower he in some aspect did have a form of soul." This would have caused a gasp to arise from that of both of the children, well Sora was because he didn't know that Shiro's brother used to be a flower and Shiro because this was really interesting to her and she wanted to know this herself. Sora would look to the side at Shiro quite shocked for a moment. "Your brother was a flower! How the heck did that happen." Shiro would have rubbed her head as she was a bit anxious about that. How could she say this to Sora. "Well I will uh tell ya later." And so Toriel would continue on with that conversation ending now. "Now for the other part of the lesson soul links. Soul links are formed through many ways and there are different kinds of them. A soul link can be formed from a strong bond or connection with something or someone, this can be friendship, a similar idea, similar goal and things such as that. Objects or people with strong soul links will become vastly stronger especially within a small proximity from each other." The children had started taking notes because this was once more an actual interesting lesson and something they would like to remember, but most of them were anyway. "Another way a soul may be linked is through a more forced way, perhaps a promise or a vow that forms in such a way. Vows like this are usually enforced by some mysterious force and if broken there will be a consequence." This would give an eyebrow raise from the children as that was quite an ambiguous answer. "It depends on what the two agree upon or the severity of the vow. Lastly, a link someone can make with themselves, this can well do many things. Though for instance in turn for never eating chicken again every other food they eat would be sweeter." The children would snicker at the last part since it was quite a silly example in their eyes. Toriel would return it with a nice smile now as she had drawn illustrations of what they had been speaking of now. "Oh right children! I had one more thing to tell you, I hope this will excite you both. Ahem its-"
Elsewhere within the depths of the secret base that was found by Shiro stood Axis, Undyne, Papyrus, and Chara. They were there for the second sweep of the place due to the first one mainly just being the subduing of everyone that was found within the place, but apparently this was only one of the bases or places of operation as the boss was not found there or perhaps they already knew of their arrival. Axis stood in front of the group leading into the base and through the door frame that was broken as the entrance and took a look around. "Jeez this place really gives me the creeps." Chara would comment having a bit of an eerie feeling once they entered the room.. even after all the others had been removed from there. Axis would look back rather expressionless, he didn't like this place either and it seemed no one else did. Axis would then assign each of them to look throughout the rooms of the place for this second sweep and perhaps find a clue as to where this potential other base was. Undyne would head off into the lab opening up the door and would look inside of it. Being around Alphys so much she could sort of recognize some of the things around, but of course her skills weren't that up to par so she'd get some help from Alphys. Undyne would've tapped on a watch that Alphys had made for her and it began to call Alphys. "Ah! Hi Undyne, where are you! You should come here so we can watch some anime and-" Undyne would clear her throat. "Not the time now Al" "Oh-uh sorry Undyne what is it?" Touching a button on the watch now would project a hologram of Alphys above, but this also would allow for Alphys to see within the room with the hologram acting as a sort of camera at the same time. "Do you recognize any of this stuff? What should I look at?" The hologram of Alphys would pave around the room and looked at everything, but the more the Alphys looked the more worried her expression became as she got kind of nervous. What was this strange feeling now? Alphys would come back towards Undyne well the hologram. "Got anything Al?" Alphys would shake her head on the hologram. "You should try taking some things out, but one thing about this place is it's oddly advanced, even beyond some of our high level stuff. It's the kind of stuff that Gaster can make.." Undyne would have raised her eyebrow, the kind of stuff that Gaster could make? Undyne found the guy mysterious, but she didn't think he would go out and do something like this. Though before being rash she came to the clear conclusion that he hasn't been back long enough to do something like this so who could've done this? Well she knew she would keep an extra eye on the royal scientist. "How intriguing. Well let me look at some things then." Undyne would have began pulling out drawers and opening closets now there were many syringes filled with test versions of hate and such it seemed Undyne didn't recognize many of the other things within the lab, though Alphys would just inform her, but it seemed there was nothing too important for what they needed to know, though hiding in a vault in the corner there was something. Undyne would've ripped the vault door right off and took out what was inside. A VHS tape that had a taped title on it. Don't show the boss, top secret recording. "Let's take a look at this." Of course this would have intrigued Undyne now as she would find the VHS player in the room that was luckily unharmed and placed it in. The tape starts rolling.
It would start off from a likely hidden camera pointing at what was likely the boss who had just been sitting at a desk, although they were covered in an odd darkness that no light could pierce through and a mask on, they wouldn't be able to get any leads on him from this sadly. Suddenly though someone else would have appeared within the room behind the boss, their figure was blurred and it was impossible to make them out. The boss seemed to calmly turn around now and stared towards the man without any sense of surprise as this wasn't their first meeting. The blurry man would then speak to the boss. "Have you considered my offer?" The boss would promptly respond. "Yes I have and I have an answer. I will accept it, you give a great offer although I don't know your true intentions. You'll give me power for nothing at all?" The blurry figure would have nodded. "That's exactly it, your goal is something that I quite like actually, so I just want to help you." The boss would have been a bit off on this though it seemed the man had quite convinced them from their last talk and so he stretched out his hand and the blurry man took it shaking his hand. "Very well then tell no one of this and tell no one of me." Within the next instant the guy was gone and the tape had disappeared. "Woah, you see that Al? Can you trace anything from the video to find out who these guys are." "Wh-whoah I don't really believe I can it's all distorted, but this guy must've been the source of the power from the other timeline. He's making things harder for us, but we still have no idea who he is!" Undyne would sigh, but then showed a face of hope. "Don't worry Al, I'm sure that we'll find something soon enough." Now elsewhere Undyne and Chara had been searching another room "I hope we can find this Mr. Boss, he seems very mean, but hopefully he shall be fixed with a bite of my noodles like everyone else! I'm great at making nice friends." Chara would have taken a rather long time to say anything back. "Huh yeah sure paps." The way she spoke she didn't even believe something like that herself, it was someone with a soul of hate, that's almost impossible to redeem. And she would know as she was on the brink of one herself. Silence then would follow as the two would have searched the room to find anything within, it would indeed take quite a while though eventually Papyrus found something then holding up a piece of paper. "Look at this Ms. Chara. It seems important." "Hmm?" Chara strode over towards Papyrus to take a look towards it now beginning to read it. "Hmm what's this? It mentions another place of operations where the boss usually resides. this is basically just a grunt base that he visits." Chara would seem pleased with this find, it would only confirm their suspicions. It was placed in her pocket though she would look around more. "Nice find Paps." "Thank you human I do try my best." Although chit chat was small with the search continuing sadly coming up on nothing else as they returned to the main room now and they would all report what they had seen though the king hadn't been able to find anything of significance, and for now the event was over they would continue the lookout for this person or
whatever this whole organization was. Now back to home.
Toriel would finish speaking. "It's a tournament." the kids just sat there and stared. This persisted for some moments as they would comprehend this. "WHAAT!"
