Chapter 18: Cold Night With Warm Men

Drake's car moved slowly. He was deliberately driving carefully and at a slow speed, just to have more time to talk to the girl beside him.

Several times the man looked at Marion from the corner of his eye, then smiled a small smile.

"How long have you been the wolf lord's assistant, Miss Alsen?" asked Drake, who then laughed at how he had called William. Of course, Marion couldn't hold back the ticklish feeling that also caught her, as if tickling her heart.

"Uh, sorry. I used to call him that because he's so ferocious. Only if you know what I mean," the man continued.

Marion nodded. "Just call me Marion, Mr. Wilmer. I don't feel good if you call me by my last name."

They were silent for a moment, letting their thoughts wander. In just a few minutes, then Marion continued.
