Synopsis
When the God of Fear, Pavor, was killed by the Goddess of Love’s champion, the hero mage Xarian Plover, he merely smiled and said the words:
“Blessed mortal, is this everything you have ever wished for? The glorious destiny of killing the greatest evil in the land of Amoreas?”
Xarian instead was somber in his reply: “I do not wish to have this fate either. If only our fortunes could be reversed.”
And as he Xarian drove his sword into his heart, Pavor expected to perish. But instead, he awakened in the kingdom of Erosith as the champion of the Plover Clan!
His name, appearance, and memories are still the same. But he was blessed by the Fate Reversal System, where his fate and Xarian’s fate had been reversed. Xarian now lives as the reclusive God of Fear, who strikes terror in the hearts of people using his Phobodemons.
But Pavor doesn’t want to live as the hero does. He does not wish to be the protector of hypocrites and brainless townsfolk that only knew to worship her….
Amore, the Goddess of Love.
Pavor will use this chance to get back at his enemy and reveal the secret of this world.

Write a reviewThe story is developing really well so far! It's so interesting where the MC would go from here. He seems to be such a complex character, and just like how there's many secrets in his world, I feel like he also has a lot of secrets to uncover. Looking forward for more chapters, author![img=update]
Great book, author! I'm really enjoying how the plot progresses so far. And I feel like Pavor will have a lot of character development because we can see that slowly building up with each chapter, like dropping hints about it and his past. Or maybe I'm just really into villain redemption hehe. Please keep writing! :)
Amazing so far! I love how you could see Pavor struggling to shift from a god to a mortal but still managing in his own way. Everything he does makes sense for his background and I'm living for it. I need to learn more why he hates Amore so much though, like what's their beef??? There's so many secrets planted as said by someone here and I need to know them all!
Great writing, premise, everything! So excited to read something unique like this. Villain MC that hates love is so relatable, let's gooooo
So far, the themes being used are pretty standard for it's genre. While they are reused, I can tell the author's respect for the theme in his writing. That said, themes are ingredients and you can make different foods with the same ingredients. The only thing that will make it stand out is how he's going to cook it. So far, I can tell that it's palatable to enjoy reading. The story does seem very intriguing so far in the early chapters.
The story written by this author uses a very general 'system' plotline. However, the 'twist' of this plot is the fact that the main character switches 'fates' with another character. This is a good way to turn such a diluted trope on its head. It's almost like a freaky friday situation, where the main character has to live out the life of this character. However, because of his haughty 'above all' nature, he's not too afraid to deviate from the other character's personality, creating a lot of situations where side characters look at him strangely. Moreover, because of his alignment with what is generally considered 'evil' by most characters, he has a soft spot for the monsters that the character he's posing as is supposed to kill. This too brings strange looks towards him. This novel is almost as if the main character is a wolf in sheep's clothing, except he forgoes the clothing altogether, and walks through the pastures as the sheep stare at him strangely. He hasn't shown any significant motivation towards a goal as far as I've read, although I suspect that the supposed 'secrets of the world' are a big point for him. Despite this, he has a pathway towards success, a leveling system that benefits him with bestowed powers. Someone so strong becoming so weak is sure to mess with their mind that is so used to the muscle-memory of a god. Overall, this novel has a lot of exciting points that could flourish in the future, almost like a planted seed sprouting. The most interesting character to me is shown very early on, so it's worth even just reading a few chapters in the beginning to see if you enjoy it or not.
