Synopsis

One very good and sunny morning, I went to school with high spirits.

Waking up early in the morning, getting ready, bidding my parents a goodbye, going to school, chatting with friends and listening to some lectures.

Yup, everything was very normal. I am enjoying my youthful life without a care in the world. But I never knew what awaits me at home that changed my life into something different back then.

Huh? Does meeting him a good thing, or a really really bad thing?

I am interested in the two-part story you wrote recently. I like the idea of a one-shot compilation, but I also think that you should try to make the stories more detailed and longer. Not going to comment on the grammar (though you do need to work on that) but definitely will encourage you to keep writing and get better. Really liked that you kept aside a chapter to give the readers a description of the characters. Thanks.

The stories have strong emotional motivation and are coherently written. But it is obvious we are getting only a small piece of a larger picture.

The collection of short stories had a lot of variety. I just wished the chapters were longer and more focused not just on the verbal exchange but also on nonverbal cues to understand a character better. Do take the time to go over the chapters again --it's easier to catch errors with fresh eyes. Asking someone to help you out would also be great :)

A string of shorts. This review is part of a review swap and valid as of chapter seven. We have one, or possibly two stories told through a few short stories stringed together. Stories is maybe too much. They are mostly one scene each giving the reader a snapshot in time. With a structure like this it's a bit hard to speak about a plot progression. You land in a new situation whenever you move on to the next chapter. Give the format I'd expect the language used to be tuned to perfection, but sadly enough it isn't. While I'm assigning the stars just as if this was any other story, in truth any deviation from top notch quality detracts more from a short story compared to a novel. Now for the stars. Writing: Four stars including the standard extra star I assign to anything written for this site. Shaky English and wavering use of tenses detract from the reading experience. Updates: Five stars. Too few chapters for me to have an opinion. I'm just handing out the full five stars. Story: Four stars. Plot is seldom the backbone of a short story, and this collection is no exception. Character: Five stars. As is usual short stories tend to be character portrayals. We have them here as well. World: Four stars. With the little space available for a short story an author is usually forced to concentrate on one of the big three; plot, character or world. The choice here was character. Lastly this collection needs a thorough edit. It doesn't need it to become equally good as other stories on Webnovel -- it needs it to become a lot better. That's the price paid when you write short stories.

Never thought a story could also be well written in parts... I really liked it so far (chap 7)... Those little things that matter... This was the only phrase I could think to describe this lovely novel or should I say this amazingly written bunch of stories. Keep it up author. Keep giving us some break from those long and too deep novels.

Each story is unique and has a kind of interesting vibe to it. However, at least proofread a chapter before publishing it. Some conversations are a bit forced and it was a bit painful to read it. The character design needs work, put in a few paragraphs as to why that particular character answered 'that way'. Let's take chapter 1 as an example, where the boy was asking his mother what he forgot today. When the mother answered, the boy was suddenly disappointed, what? Tell us why he was disappointed. Indeed, there are some times where the author purposely leaves out detail and throws it up to the reader's imagination. BUT, that scenario wasn't really appropriate for that. Was the boy disappointed because his mother forgot to curse the f*ck out of his soul that day? Obviously no, but you get the idea. Also, try to recognize and clear out those obvious grammar mistakes. It will take some time though. Ignore the low rating, it is actually a pretty good rating in my case. Keep writing.

The concept is great! It's unique in a good way. Though the length of the chapters is really short. If there is some more content it would be great! Keep writing! :)

This is, literally, a collection of short stories or one-shots. This is the first time I've come across such a compilation and the concept is nice. However, I found that each story was a bit too short for my own personal taste. It's as if, once it seems to have developed a bit, it ends. Again, I stress: this is my own personal taste. There's basically nothing really wrong with the stories (the concepts are good). If you're the type that likes really short stories, then this is the one for you. I wish you all the best, Author! °˖✧◝(⁰▿⁰)◜✧˖°

Truly a short story. Felt like a summary of may novels out there... I just can't move on to the man who killed himself. (I can't think a rational reason to accept it) haha I just advise to keep pace with the updates.. (you choose the date) Great job!
