Chapter 11: Chapter Ten: EMIYA Alter's Interlude

EMIYA Alter POV

A child cries out to me as I shoot both his mother and father right in the head "why! why! why!" the boy chanted at me, but I give no response my mission was complete the targets of the counterforce had been eliminated thus keeping humanity safe.

I slowly began to exit the house my black and gold-stained cloak fluttering behind me "I thought you were a hero mister so why did you have to kill them?!," the boy shouted again with voice of rage I paused at that word...hero heh the thought alone makes me want to laugh.

"Hero?" I echo my voice cold and distant "no boy heroes save everyone I am something else entirely."

His tear-streaked face contorts into confusion and anger he doesn't understand how could he? The Counter Force doesn't leave room for understanding only necessity.

"Your parents," I begin my tone much like the soulless killing machine I was, "were threats they were going to bring ruin to humanity itself in the near future my mission was to prevent that at any cost this just happened to be the only way for it to happen," I pause letting the information sink in.

"But they were good people!" he protests his voice breaking were I to have a heart I surely would have felt something but now all I had was a complete mind of steel. Things like emotions, taste, and touch were all lost to me I just couldn't feel them anymore and soon enough I really will become a machine that only knows how to kill and not think "they never hurt anyone!"

I shake my head the motion slow and deliberate "sometimes the worst dangers come from those who don't intend harm. Their actions, their choices whether they knew it or not would have led to disaster."

"The ideal hero is someone can save everyone an alley of Justice right?" I continue my voice low and devoid of emotion "but reality isn't that simple sometimes to save the ensure the lives of the many, sacrifices must be made. Your parents were a threat to the world, and that threat had to be neutralized...that's what it really means to be a superhero boy," I explained giving a side glance back to the boy.

The boy's rage flares again a spark of defiance in his eyes "then what about me? Are you going to kill me too?"

"No, I am not going to kill you," I automatically reply Alaya deemed it fine to spare the boy since he wouldn't become a threat to humanity.

With my words said I exit the house waiting for Alaya to send me to my next deployment the sounds of footsteps reach my ears the child calls out to me "you're a monster," he spits voice dripping with venom "you're not a superhero you're just a killer."

I feel myself slowly disappearing away but none the less I gave one last reply, "monsters and heroes are often one and the same boy the line between them is thin and easily crossed I've accepted this fact long ago...you don't understand it yet but some day you will," and with those words I disappeared.

My spirit travels back to Unlimited Lost Works where a giant round blue sphere awaited me on top of the hill "what's the next mission?" I asked brandishing my guns from the blood-stained ground of my soul.

Alaya hums downloading the information into my mind holy grail war plus class cards plus people from a parallel timeline equals destruction of humanity.

The cards must be collected and be destroyed once in for all, and lastly the Ainzworths including their clan have to be eliminated before Pandora's box is opened sending the world back into the age of the Gods.

I'd be hijacking the Archer card and wait for a user that would be an exact match for me, install and partner with I don't bother asking questions, but I'd like to know who my eventual user would be unfortunately I couldn't ask because the next moment Alaya disappears and I myself transported off.

Time isn't something I am aware of inside the card it's feels like I am sleeping but aware of what's going on the outside. The moment someone picked up my card I became conscious within my reality marble once more their mana subconsciously flows through the card and my eyes slowly widen this mana it felt...nearly identical to my own

All sorts of emotions suddenly flare through my head panic, anxiety, fear, and despair "I don't want to die yet not when I didn't even get a chance to say goodbye to everyone or even apologize to Ayako," came a voice that sent a massive headache through my twisted mind of steel.

The name Ayako is one I don't remember but I feel like I should the memory associated with that name though has become lost to me though I surge my own mana back thus began the install process.

A red-haired boy with golden amber eyes appears in front of me for a moment when I see this person I feel like I should just cry out in despair I am not sure why though he disappears from the marble a second later.

My eyes are soon connected with my wielder, but I am not in complete control of the body he is, so I do the next best thing send my thoughts and instincts over now all I can do is just watch.

The boy traces Kanshou and Bakuya to block the class card and inflict his own attack he then took the time to inspect himself with a look of wonder I narrow my eyes in annoyance stop dawdling around and pay attention you fool.

He looks at the class card servant again and I take the time to trace his swords into my marble Moralltach and Beaglltach a pair of swords given to the Irish hero Diarmuid Ua Dabine gifted to him by the god of the sea and underworld Manannán a useful pair of swords that would definitely assist in future deployments.

The boy crossed the twin blades together blocking the Saber's attack "Trace on: Bullet Fire!" the boy chanted shooting a bunch of different blades directly at the servant I nodded my head in approval if the twin blades were not good enough then you use the many other one's at your disposal.

Swinging both of the married blades in his hand he threw them before tracing another pair hoping that the blades combined with the one's he threw would do something, but the servant dug his feet into the ground using only his own blades to cut down each of the one's the boy launched at him.

"Damn bastard doesn't know when to quit," I could hear the boy curse as he rushed forward colliding blades together Kanshou shatters, but another takes its place as he turned around spin thrusting Bakuya forward into the only opening he could reach.

It was surprising to see the boy adapt to my magecraft and style of fighting so easily makes me wonder who he is.

The battle continued and eventually the boy twisted the married blade into their gun forms. Suddenly the impossible happened he was calling upon his bladeworks to shoot Unlimited Lost Works and that wouldn't be a problem if not for the fact that my marble was starting to invade his body.

That's not right from what I know of class cards and their abilities should be usable for a user without any negative side effects...unless of course the boy no he couldn't be but then again, the proof was right in front of me "s-so as I-I pray Unlimited Lost Works," and the boy shot the bullet killing the servant.

My marble stops reacting causing the swords to retreat back I stare at the boy a name lies at the tip of my tongue "Emiya....Shirou?" I say with confusion.
