Chapter 47: Amon Is The Devil

"...and that's pretty much it"

Amon finished telling Renfri the actual truth which left her feeling like she was suffocating.

She opened and closed her mouth repeatedly trying to say something but in the end was not able to do so each time. Coldness spread all over her body and her limbs started to shake. Her eyes were wide open in disbelief.

Renfri thought that the early days when she feared Amon were long over and even naively thought she could form with him some sort of partnership but now she felt disgusted to breathe the same air as him. She knew very well that he was more than a bad person ready to kill for even a small gain but the truth he told her as well as his plans made her remember that Amon is in fact… the devil.

Renfri glanced at the book on her desk about demons and no longer thought it was biassed. Demons really ought to be killed on sight.

"What's wrong? You are awfully quiet"
