Chapter 45: Ch 45 : The Trial's true meaning
The battle between the Mahkota's heir and the army of rats continued.
Black mists kept coming out from the Mahkota heir's body and continuously killing the rats, but at this rate, it seems the Mahkota heir would not last long.
" Arrgghhh" Suddenly, the black mist condensed into a ball-like thing in the hand of the Mahkota heir, and it was launched at the directions of the Rats army.
BOOMMM!!!!
An explosion occurred, and from the number count, it should have killed about one hundred to two hundred rats in one blow.
However, looking from the side, Ray knew that such a big move would take a huge amount of energy.
Ray ignored the contradiction between the two and rushed at the Mahkota's heir side for help.
*Splash* *Boom*
This time, Ray returned to the moment when he entered the battle of two races in the other world before.
With just the stone in his hand, he pushed forward and killed every rat coming his way.
Ray himself could be said to be strong against the weak, and weak against the strong, so facing the numerous amount of weaker opponents, Ray felt like he found the place he belong on the battlefield.
His kill amount kept getting higher which each step he took, and eventually, he arrived at the Mahkota's heir side.

Ray smashed his Natal weapon, the stone at the two rats that were coming in the direction of the Mahkota's heir, avoiding him from a fatal injury.
" You, what are you doing? I don't need help from someone like you!" Even in his currently breathless state, the Mahkota's heirs pride was still there, and it definitely wouldn't allow him to get help from someone like Ray.
" I'm not here to help you. I just think that this side was weaker than the other, so my reason to come here is so that the side wouldn't be broken." For this kind of prideful guy, Ray knew that no matter what words he said would only aggravate him further, so he chose to be bluntly honest and said what was on his mind.
Of course hearing, Ray's blunt words made the Mahkota's heir very angry. However, he still had some rationality and knew it was not the right time to clash.
He gritted his teeth and ignored Ray, who was killing the Rats in front of him.
" Humph, do as you want. But just don't be a burden."
The Mahkota's heir spirit ignited once again as he saw how Ray didn't stop moving after killing a few Rats in one strike. Unknowingly, he started to regard the man in front of him at the same position as himself.
" Right back at ya!"
The two then carry on with their own activities of killing the rats.
Ray was hammering the rats from a close distance, and The Mahkota heir utilized his black mist to slowly corrode the rat's body and finish them in one strike while the two of them still covering each other back.
This teamwork was far from optimal, but it didn't seem too bad for the two people who had their first time working with other people.
The war continued, and Ray's side slowly gaining an advantage.
Even though the number of rats reached one hundred thousand, their individual strength was pretty weak, and with the help of the red explosive egg, the Rats could only resign to their fate of being massacre by Ray and the others.
The tension before was no more, and each and every member of Ray's side easily killed countless Rats in one strike.
Maybe if there were only four of them, this Rats trial would be a disaster, but the dungeon would never guess that Ray would summon ten muscular chickens and one explosive chicken, which instantly turn the tide of the battle.
Now the dungeon trial would only need some time before it was eventually cleared by Ray and the others, but it seems the dungeon still has its own plan.
During the battle with the Rats which Ray and the Mahkote heirs were slaughtering rats like crazy, the dungeon voice suddenly resounded once again.

[ Good, Good. Hahahahahaha. I never thought the four of you could still stand until now with the survivor camps didn't even get one scratch.]
[ However, if the four of you think that the trial was this simple, that all of you are wrong.]

Along with the voice, Ray and co abruptly notice that the number of Rats in front of them has been lessened, and almost half of them has retreated.
" Chicken mask brother, the rats.. They are retreating!"
Looking at the retreating Rats, Elin felt a little bit relieved in her heart. For her, this was her first time in such a battle, so even though their side was already on the advantage, she still felt happy when she saw the enemy retreating.
However, contrary to Elin, who was still a bit immature, the three of Ray, Ellen, and Mahkota's heir now have a bad premonition in their heart.

[ Hohoho, it seems the three of you aren't as naive as the little girl. Yeah, right, the true nemesis of this trial was not the Rats, but your own companion.]

The tone of the dungeon voice turned majestic, but it seemed it didn't have any effect to the three adult guys.

The Dungeon's voice kept pushing the four to start battling against each other.
However, contrary to his expectation, the four of them only looked at him with an eyes that said like ' Are you an idiot?'
