'What am I doing here again?' Henry asked himself but couldn't quite answer.

He was convinced that the bad reputation blind dates have was not a work of fiction, but the product of ancient wisdom that many men before him had compiled. He knew that Gloria must've had the best intentions in mind and heart when she set him up with one of her books club's young women. But his well-meaning stepmother ended up putting him through a terrifying experience.
