Write a reviewI really like this novel a lot. Though I am going to dropped it. Around chapter 353 the writing quality turns for the worse. Around chapter 385 the translators change, and the writing quality came back. But ... inconsistent name changing happen.
One of the best novels I've read. The MC is calm and smart with no arrogance. the ending of the story was abrupt because we just discovered a whole new word in front of us. but at least they added extra chapters to end things more nicely for the readers.
Was good until the 5 volume, whereas afterwards mc personality made a total change and it turned into a face slapping novel with too much useless side yapping
Read to chapter 747, got bored. Might finish it one day. Overall I really enjoyed it. I love stories about travelling to new worlds, learning the power system, and using it to create a new one. It also helps that the will of worlds in this story also don’t like transmigrators, so there’s stakes and actions have to be planned carefully. I think the main character is pretty good. He can be a little bland, most of the time he’s just manipulating people to build power, which can be a little uninteresting when you see it in most of these novels. I do think he’s at least a little intelligent. He takes risks, but is careful to not expose his hand too much. He also makes great use of avatars to build up force and make moves without it leading back to his main body. I like the worlds he travels to for the most part. There is interesting background, politics, etc. my big problem with the book is the author tends to repeat wizard worlds and cultivation worlds a bit too much though. Part of why I can’t get to the end is because this world is another wizard/bloodline/god world. Only other issue I have with the book is the first twist is a little random to me but that’s fine. It’s a good read. Give it a try.
my review: not my cup of tea. i think i do not like modern world novels. i am writing this review as a note for me, as i read this book a little few yrs back but forgot the reason why i stopped. So do not mind me. go and read, and then decide.
Time sure flies. I left a comment under this novel over 2 years ago. Back then, we had about 200 chapters translated, so I continued to read RAW up to about ~560 chapter where the author was at, I remember it felt a bit fillerish. Last week nostalgia hit and after I read the whole "I Hijacked a Timeline" (a great novel), browsed some of the older novels and noticed this one is completed. Decided to eat it up. Albeit I consider it a bit worse than the other one, it was a nice read to me: the ending was also decent, quite left open, which I enjoyed. This novel has some parts that are worth it. The one I engraved in my memory and will associate with the title are the scenes related to the alternative martial world and the process that was unveiled before reader, be it early on which was quite sad or in the last chapters of the novel where we got some additional explanations. For me it was over 2 years, felt like a long time to return to this place.
i haven't read the full story yet only up to 200 mainly because i keep going back to chapters 149-151 makes my eyes tear up every time i read it seriously want this scene made into an anime so i can cry just like with the pokemon movie 1 with pikachu getting beat by his clone or lion king with the stampede i believe if a good crew were to animate these scenes itd be a memorable piece
Honestly, this is one of my favorite novels. The characters and world development is great. MC isn't trash. My only two complaints with the novel was that his clone on the sorcerer world was never mentioned again and that we didn't get to venture to that new cosmos with him at the end of the novel.
Hate these stupid low profile, built on a mountain of misunderstandings novels. Ruined a great idea.
Hi to everyone, it's your friendly Mattone here. Today I'll review this novel called "Fantasy Simulator". At first I thought it was the classic bulls**t with an unreasonably op MC, a big harem and some cliche like face-slapping young-master BUT it's not. Congratulations to the author for creating a work of art. The story development it's perfectly paced, with plenty of timeskip that are needed because the story would be really boring without them. The MC doesn't become immediately op but he builds up slowly everything he has (also something I didn't ever see in other Novel is the fact that the MC loses his strength to a certain extent). Good power systems (because, yes, there are numerous of them) that are coherent each other. That's a must read !!
After a long and very eventful read...I have finally reached the end of this great book...its been a great read with its ups and downs...thank you very much..really appreciate your efforts..it reallydeserves yhe five stars and more..hope there wpuld be a second book though...lots of love..🥰🥰🥰❤❤❤
I'ma cryyy :( I love the ending so so much, I got tired reading this for a while but I came back and read all of this till the end today. I Honestly want the Author to write Chen Heng's second journey in the new boundary but I know it will also be a bit repetitive and that Cheng heng will eventually find out the simulators origin and it's powers. Any how, thank you for writing this novel dear Salted Fish. You have truly wrote a good book on simulation and I believe this book could have definitely been better, What truly pulled me in this novel is the emotions I felt from the MC interacting with natives of the world and building beautiful friendships but I also understand you didn't want to drag the journeys in the simulators on for to long. I love novels like this! Please stay healthy and safe!
This is one of my fav ML book. I totally fall in love with ML because the he solve everything & his approach towards particular event. ML may not be a good person but i totally 100% support his approach. I have read this novel 2nd time. Author i'm looking forward to season 2 & his further journy. Highly recommended novel. Thank you so muuch author for such cool story. This ML is my cup of tea as well as every world backround is superb.
Read this. Read this . Read this . Definitely read this. It's a smart take on the whole system business and is consistent in its theme
I really love it and i want to rate it 5 but my love for it is also the reason why i am so mad of it. it keeps disappointing me. unused powers, indecisiveness, and the tendency to just be passive. he holds so much power but he tends to forget them (i dunno) because he doesnt use them and he doesn't even explain why.
My people, read this! It You read Carefree path of Dreams then you are almost certain to like this as well
it was great at first until it became a cycle of conspiracy and manipulation which isn't my style so i stopped there so bye [img=recommend][img=recommend]
The concept behind this novel is quite good, however after a while it kind of got repetitive and annoying. The major power here is allowing the MC to enter various worlds as simulation and bring back Powers back to his own world. However after several times I started to lose interest as every simulation felt like one shot story, totalling in several plots in one novel...
The only thing i dislike about the novel is that in later parts after chapter 400 translation quality drops, but it recovered later on not as good but readable. There is also that some chapter are cut and there are some thing missing in later chapters and other than that there is more that novel can do and a lot of unanswered question i really want sequal and more extra where he meets with all people from all worlds he had gone other than that i really enjoyed the novel and will miss it it is in top 5 of my best novels i read, and will really make me feel that mc is ultimate mc and no other mc will be in his reach he has done everything that can be done, become ruler of several worlds, strongest being ever, immortal, several god clones who are also at the peak of his universe/reality whatever and many more the auhor could also clear some confusion about bondary sea is it universe or multiverse but yeay 5/5
Reveal SpoilerI just finished this novel and I was right to say that you have to stop at chapter 259-260 the writing is so low. If you stop to look at chapter 259-260 there are some extras that give more details on the Knight King and True Lord simulations you can read in the last 6 chapters of the novel. However if you want to continue reading know that there is no true end, the end is the mc starting a new journey
the story is good and the translation is passable, but there's a lot of missing parts in some chapter i have no idea if this project is legal or not cause of that i advise reader to be wise and not waste your money in this book except if the translator improve later. ex chaps with missing parts, chap 509 and also chap arround 400 where mc back from exploring ancient ruins and about to face the tournament
Usually it's the translator's fault whenever translated works unfold horribly. But this time, I have to say, screw you, Author! You ruined a good thing by relying on perplexing time/plot jumps in the middle of the story.
it was really a good story was with mc from the start last few chapters are slightly confusing but it's is really a great novel and the father of Chinese multverse novels and i obviously think this could have been made Better but Kudos to the author , translators and editers for continuing it and not dropping it huge love 💗
just like a majority of my rules this is completely unedited, non-proof red, text to speech done at about 2:30 a.m. I give my completely biased and true thoughts about what's happening in the story with some analyzation. if you didn't want to read all of it here's the short version. after around 200 chapters the author completely changes the tone of a novel and makes it into something from a simulator with some real world aspects into a God building faith Gathering simulator but do read if you want to understand what all that means my biggest issue with this novel is that the first 200 chapters are golden. they set up such a great story following a character who doesn't try to be a hero but also when it doesn't try to be a villain. he does what benefits him the most and if he can be good without it hurting him he will but if it heard some he doesn't care and doesn't do it. it has a really interesting premise where the main character goes to multiple different worlds through his system and in each world he experiences a different life for a set amount of time followed by a certain type of power system. whether that be knights, sorcerers, cultivators. it's really interesting. the main character experience is all of them and slowly gains more and more knowledge about everything for the most part. we see the main character struggle with the fact that his simulations are in fact Real Worlds and that the connections he makes and the people he meets are real. it's a great story it plays out amazingly and for the most part the characters react relatively believably. my issue is that at one point the main character discover something called Faith energy, it's the typical this energy comes from people believing in you and it's somehow omnipotent almost. whatever not too bad it would be fine if the author would have kept it as a supporting energy. because at first we hear that it is something that can't directly be called your own power and instead multiplies whatever your base power is for however much Faith energy you have until you exhausted. this kind of sets up the point that the main character should keep building upon all the other systems he knows of and continue exploring more so he can get stronger and stronger and the faith energy can just be an added bonus. no what the other does instead is after about 40 chapters of breaking your heart by realizing that the world that you're connected to which is the main world for the main character is essentially a dream of the world because it's already ended and Every Soul on the planet didn't want their time to come yet so they created a Dreamscape where time didn't flow. and they're everything kept happening how it happened before the planet died all the way up until the planet could no longer hold on with its energy. that was done really well however afterwards the main character ends up getting thrown out of the world and has to spend all of his energy that he's accumulated as well as anything he put in the simulator in order to go to a new world, that wouldn't be bad if the author didn't immediately give the character something that makes every hardship he's gone through for the past almost 300 chapters useless. he gets something called divinities which can strengthen his body taken laws and help him out but the main way to strengthen them is through can you guess it Faith energy. can you guess what the divinities do with the faith energy. that's right they turn into an omnipotent power that never leaves the main character and turns into his base strength. can you guess what that does to the main character. it throws away every single path of power that he had. he no longer focuses on being an ingenious sorcerer has to come up with his own magic perform his own experiments and overall be an interesting well-developed character. we no longer see the main character utilize night energy to be able to strengthen his own life force so that he can live longer and become physically stronger. we no longer see him attempting to figure out how to use cultivation manuals in a world that rejects it even though it bring him as benefit. what I'm trying to say is that the main character goes from an interesting person who has to come up with ingenious ways to survive in Worlds and understanding their fundamental systems and how to better himself into a story about a brat who no longer can act like an old monster who's been through several lifetimes for almost a thousand plus years and instead acts like the child all the time and goes world to World Gathering followers in order to have a devout faith. does it sound like it took a 180° turning completely slowed down and change into a different story because it did. if the novel didn't start out with such a golden premise for the first 200 chapters it would have been fine to have a story like that. but instead we're set up with the expectations that we're going to get to see the main character continue to struggle and Rule through the levels until he can slowly acquire better knowledge by going through the simulations but instead he no longer has to work as hard and can get anything he wants just by showing off a bit of power and worlds where there are no gods and there are no cultivation manuals and there is no path to a better power so everyone prays to him and he has a whole world's worth of energy and he soon become the undying God above everyone else. it's just so disappointing. because you read through the story it gets your attention you realize that everything that's happening feels really well paced the main character makes respectable decisions he interacts well with other people in other worlds and he's not some gung-ho idiot and as soon as he gets this stupid Divine energy from all the faith energy he has he's no longer a smart calculating person and instead goes into a goody two-shoes and you can do no bad. the author really changed the main character's personality from someone who is calculating and even almost cowardly because he wanted to make sure he didn't die all the time to someone who could see no wrong ever happened. and then what's even worse is that while all these very abrupt changes are happening to the tone of story and the way everything's progressing the translation quality drops sharply. two times. the first time is relatively bearable because even though it drops the way it drops is that there's some more spelling errors some things are capitalized maybe there are a couple things that need a space in between them mainly Grandma Claires and that's not bad you can get by that very easily. and then the second drop happens and in the first chapter where the translation switches once again we see the translator switch the name of the main character four times, the woman who the main character is attempting to save four times and the evil organization against them about 12 different times. very jarring.
I don't want to leave an actual review quite yet because I'm only about 200 chapters in. but I just have to say I love this novel so far. probably my favorite thing is that no matter what our main character starts off poor and almost every world he goes to at least he gets there at one point and it makes sense it's not forced or anything so my favorite part is that the main character always goes back to making things to not be poor. and even the author points it out in some cases and I just find it hilarious
